Chapter 407 He Has a Problem

Nora laughed at her remark, and the two of them exchanged jokes and banter.

"Nora, let's order first. What do you want to eat?" Evella asked, taking the menu.

The two of them huddled together, discussing and choosing which dishes were both delicious without making them gain weight.

When Flynt came in, he noticed that neither of them had touched their drinks, squinting his eyes.

He sat down across from them. When Nora glanced his way, he took a sip of coffee and smiled. "Evella, order a few more dishes that Nora likes. Don't worry about the cost."

"Sure," Evella sweetly replied.

He picked up the water pot to refill Nora's cup. "Aren't you thirsty, Nora? Have some water first."

Nora glanced at the untouched water in her cup, feeling a something in her heart. It wasn't that she was overly sensitive, but once she grew suspicious of someone, she naturally became alert.

Moreover, he seemed overly attentive, constantly adding her water.

She felt an itch in her hand and wanted to find an excuse to examine him.

However, she was afraid it'd be too abrupt.

"I'm not thirsty; I'll drink later," she said. Flynt couldn't insist, so he put the water pot down.

"Flynt, take a look and see if we should order a few more dishes," Evella said after she finished ordering, handing the menu to him.

"Okay," he took the menu.

"There are only three of us, so we don't need to order too much. It would be a waste if we can't finish it all," Nora added.

"It's okay; I have a big appetite," Evella said with a smile, picking up her water for a sip.

Nora's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly spoke up, "Evella!"

Evella paused and asked, "Hmm?"

Nora's eyes flickered slightly as she quickly found an excuse. "Where were you writing your novel on last time? Let me take a look."

Evella was momentarily surprised but smiled. "Why do you suddenly want to read my novel, Nora?"

"I plan to raise my daughter into a famous online novelist like you in the future. Hurry up and let me see," Nora urged.

"Okay, but no making fun of me after reading," Evella said, taking out her phone and flipping through her novel.

Nora silently exhaled, leaning over to chat with Evella about her novel.

Afterward, she discreetly messaged Sandy, asking if Kenneth's investigation report was ready.

Sandy sent a reply.

Sandy: [Wait a moment. He said the assistant is already organizing the investigation materials and will send them to me soon.]

Nora replied calmly with an "OK" emoji.

Hopefully, it was just her suspicion acting up.

Soon, the food was quickly served.

Flynt raised his glass and smiled, "Alright, the food is here. Can we start eating? Let's toast with water instead of alcohol, first."

Nora glanced at her cup and pursed her red lips.

She slowly raised her cup...

At that moment, her phone suddenly rang.

Nora's heart skipped a beat as she glanced at the caller ID; it was Sandy.

She quickly put down her water and answered the phone after saying to wait a moment.

"Hello."

"Nora, are you still having dinner with them?" Sandy's tone sounded urgent.

"Yes."

"Listen, Flynt is bad. Not only is he a scumbag, but he's also a drug addict! You need to take Evella away from there right away!"

Just as expected!

She wasn't being sensitive or suspicious; this Flynt really had a problem.

She tightened her grip on her phone and nodded.

"Nora, do you know how many fangirls he has slept with? It's not just thousands; but tens of thousands. They're all college students like Evella and Ava, and they're from all over the country. This is not just a problem of him being a scumbag, he's committing crimes!"

Sandy continued, "He also uses drugs, which is even more terrifying! Nora, I'm really afraid that Evella will get involved with him, too."

Hearing this, Nora glanced at Evella, "I just checked her; she's fine."

"Well, that's good. Take her and leave that Flynt. Stay away from him!" Sandy urged.

"Okay, I understand," Nora hung up.

Evella looked at her curiously and asked, "Nora, who called? Why does it seem like you mentioned me?"

"It was Sandy," Nora said.

"Oh, so it's Sandy. Does she need something?" Evella asked.

"Well, there's a bit of an issue. I won't be eating anymore, Evella. Come with me," Nora picked up her bag and prepared to leave.

Evella was surprised, "What's wrong? Did something happen again?"

"Yes, why are you suddenly leaving? The food is all here; let's eat before leaving," Flynt said.

Did she dare to eat with a drug addict?

Nora looked at him, feeling like she shouldn't just leave like this. Instead, she should expose him face-to-face and send him to the police station.

After thinking about it, she replied, "Flynt, around 10:00 a.m., you went to the Imperial City Hospital, right?"

Flynt was momentarily surprised, his gaze flickering.

"Yeah, because I wasn't feeling well. How did you know, Nora? Did you see me?"

Nora's eyes flashed with mockery. "Really? But it couldn't have been you who was unwell."

His heart skipped a beat. "If it weren't me, then who could it be?"

Nora fell silent for a moment.

"Ava."

Hearing this name, Flynt lost his composure.

How did Nora know about Ava's existence?

What else did she know?

"Nora, who is Ava?" Evella needed clarification.

Nora replied, "She's his fangirl. He slept with her, and she's six weeks pregnant now."

What!?

Evella was shocked and looked at Flynt. "Flynt, is that true?"

Flynt's heart sank. He hadn't expected Nora to know so much.

Severity flickered in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared. He then walked over to Evella, taking her hand and acting sorry.

"Evella, listen to me. As a musician, I'm bound to have many female fans. The truth is, Ava has been harassing me. We only had a one-time encounter, and it was because she drugged and took advantage of me while I was out of it."

"You have to believe me; I don't like her at all. The last time we contacted each other was then. It was only this morning that she called me, saying she might be pregnant. Please forgive me. I fell in love with you at first sight, and you're the only one I want. I'll handle Ava's situation properly."

Evella looked at him steadily, still somewhat skeptical.

Nora, who was standing by, pulled Evella closer to her and gave him a cold, piercing stare.

"Flynt, stop pretending. You've slept with more than one fan. Do you want me to throw the evidence I've gathered in your face?"

His expression changed. "Nora, did you investigate me?"

She replied, "Yes! Not only are you despicable, but you're also a drug addict. I bet you tainted both of our drinks, right?"

Flynt's gaze flickered, his face turning dark without a word.

On the other hand, Evella's face turned pale with fear, gripping Nora's hand tightly.

"Nora, is what you said true? Does… Does he really do drugs?!"
