Chapter 597 Can I Have a Hug

Evella's eyes flashed, thinking Howard wouldn't do that.

After all, that time at the hotel was such a good opportunity, but he didn't do anything to her.

Just as she was about to speak, she heard Howard interject again. "Don't worry, I've said it before, I'm not interested in your petite figure."
Evella choked, instantly feeling stifled.

Her eyes widened, and she said, "You're not interested in me, yet you want me to agree to date you. Are you crazy?"

Because of embarrassment, her voice raised a few decibels.

Howard glanced at Evella, a hint of a smile flashing in his eyes.

"Evella, your thoughts are impure." he remarked.

"How am I impure?" Evella huffed.

Howard said, "I want to date you. Does it necessarily mean that I'm interested in your body?"

Evella choked, her gaze flickering.

Wasn't the purpose of men and women being together usually for intimacy?

"So, you just want to have a Platonic love affair with me?" she asked.

Howard raised an eyebrow slightly, saying, "Don't you think I have a noble character, unlike some men who date just for intimacy? Especially some old men, who prefer to deceive naive girls into bed."

He slyly referred to Richard by mentioning some old men.

Evella rolled her eyes, tapped her ears, indicating she didn't want to hear, and turned up the music in the car a bit.

Howard glanced at her, gritting his teeth inwardly.

What had Richard instilled in her?

Evella couldn't focus on anything now.

In the passenger seat, Evella was still thinking about Howard's words that he was not interested in her petite figure.

She didn't think Howard had a noble character.

It must be that she couldn't attract him.

Evella couldn't help but glance at her petite figure.

Clearly, she was fine, with a chest and curves.

Despite her modest bust size, she still wore a B-cup bra.

As the car turned a corner, Howard casually glanced over and saw Evella pouting while sizing herself up.

His eyes flickered, a slight smirk playing on his lips.

Evella must have some feelings for him.

Otherwise, she wouldn't have reacted so strongly when he said he wasn't interested in her.

After a moment, Howard spoke again, "I haven't finished what I was saying earlier. Although you have a petite figure, you still have what you should have. I'm not interested in your petite figure now, but that doesn't mean I won't be interested in the future. You're still young and immature; I can wait a bit longer, wait for you to mature more."

Evella was speechless.

Howard wanted to wait for her to mature more.

He really liked women with curves.

He might as well find a cow!

Evella stared at Howard, saying, "I advise you not to wait. My petite figure is already set; I won't develop into the big-chested woman you desire, so you don't need to waste time on me."

At his words, Howard chuckled, "When did I say I like big chests?"

Evella huffed, "If you don't like big chests, why do you keep criticizing my petite figure?"

Howard said, "When did I criticize you? I'm clearly showing concern. You're like a flower that hasn't fully bloomed yet; I don't want to ruin you now!"

This explanation concealed a compliment.

Howard was getting better at words.

Evella didn't speak, but the corners of her mouth involuntarily curved up slightly.

Howard glanced at her. Seeing the curve of her lips, he smiled contently.

Evella's caring about what kind of woman he liked meant she had him in her heart. It was just because of that meddling man that she wanted to break up with him.

'Richard, I'm not done with you!' Howard cursed inward.

The car stopped halfway up the mountain.

Because going further up would require walking.

Howard parked the car on the side and turned off the engine, saying, "Get out."

Evella looked ahead at the pitch-black darkness and swallowed nervously, asking, "Can't you drive further up?"

Howard glanced at her and said, "Are you scared? I didn't know you were so timid."

"Who said I'm scared? Can't I just ask?" Evella naturally denied it, then opened the car door and got out.

A hint of a smile flashed in Howard's eyes as he got out of the car, too.

At that moment, something small darted out of the bushes nearby, making a noise.

Evella screamed in fright, jumping onto Howard in one go. Her slender legs tightened around Howard's waist, holding onto him tightly like a koala.

"Howard, there's a snake!" she shouted.

Howard didn't expect her reaction to be so intense.

He steadied her with his hands on her hips, comforting her softly, "Don't be afraid. It's not a snake, just a little wild rabbit."

Evella's face turned pale with fear, asking, "Really?"

"Really, I'm not lying to you," Howard said; he didn't really see what it was.

But telling Evella it was a rabbit would definitely calm her down.

Evella sighed in relief and said, "It's just a little wild rabbit; it scared me."

Howard felt the softness of Evella's chest against him, rubbing against his firm chest, making him feel a little itchy inside.

He pursed his lips and remained silent, his breath slightly heavy.

As Evella calmed down a bit, she realized she was holding onto Howard's neck with both hands, her body pressed against his.

She had actually jumped onto him out of fear!

Evella stiffened, quickly getting off him. She adjusted her hair, trying to hide her embarrassment.

Reflecting on Howard's words, that he wasn't interested in her, she felt there was no need to be so embarrassed.

"Can we go now?" she asked.

Howard felt the lingering sweet fragrance of Evella in the air.

Something was missing in his hand, leaving his heart feeling empty.

He suppressed the restlessness in his heart and discarded his distractions.

Now, he had to leave a good impression on her, an impression of a gentleman, not a frivolous playboy.

He said, "Let's go."

Howard and Evella walked up the mountain together.

Evella looked at the wild grass by the roadside, swallowed nervously, and unconsciously moved closer to Howard.

Although it was said to be a rabbit just now, she still felt like a monster might jump out of the bushes the next second. It was so scary!

Howard glanced at Evella, his eyes flickering.

She was so scared. He should do something to boost her courage.

With that in mind, he reached out and wrapped his arm around Evella's slender waist, saying, "Don't be afraid, I'm here."

In the quiet night, the evening breeze gently brushed past.

Howard's brown eyes were affectionate, his voice as gentle as water, filled with deep tenderness.

Evella's heartbeat inexplicably raced.

Her gaze flickered, and she retorted, "I'm not scared. Don't take advantage of me."

Howard smiled, not arguing. Instead, he wrapped her hand around his waist, saying, "You're not scared, but it's me who's scared. Can you hug me?"

Evella was speechless.

Howard's thoughts was too unpredictable for her to keep up with!
