Chapter 485 All Because of You
Emma's warning made Suzy very nervous.
This family could no longer accommodate her.
What should Suzy do from now on?
"Why are you still standing here? Aren't you going out," Emma opened the door and glanced at Suzy, who forced a smile and followed Emma slowly.
As she looked at the middle-aged woman in front of her, dressed in luxury, she felt anxious.
At this moment, Suzy only had one thought, ’I couldn't let Emma and Nora recognize each other, revealing the truth about the child. I needed to stop Emma from meeting Nora!’ So, Suzy quickly grabbed Emma.
"Mom, don't go see Nora. Auntie Chloe must have made a mistake! Yes, it must be Nora intentionally making Auntie Chloe say this. Nora doesn't want to be labeled as an illegitimate daughter, so she had Auntie Chloe deceive you." Suzy said.
"You know, Nora knows medicine. Maybe she gave something to Auntie Chloe when she was confused and made her come up with this nonsense!" Suzy accused.
Hearing this, Emma's face turned gloomy and shouted, "Shut up, you're not allowed to speak ill of Nora and Chloe! Nora is my daughter; that's an indisputable fact!"
"It's not true, Mom, don't go. Listen to me," Suzy pleaded.
"Let go!" Emma said.
The two struggled, pushing and shoving each other. In the commotion, Emma slipped and lost control of her body, falling backward.
At the corner of the stairs, Suzy was startled. Instinctively, she wanted to grab onto Emma.
But then something crossed her mind; maliciousness flashed in her eyes, and she forcefully pushed.
"Ah!" Emma screamed as she quickly rolled down the stairs, with her head hitting the wall, and then she collapsed onto the landing, unconscious.
Suzy's face turned ashen, her chest heaving.
She stared fixedly at the blood gradually seeping from Emma's head at the corner of the stairs, a sinister light flickering in her eyes.
Suzy thought, 'If you die, you won't be able to tell Nora the truth that she is a secret daughter of the Hamilton family, then I will still be the favored Ms. Hamilton.
The commotion attracted Wendy, the maid who was cleaning the living room.
When Wendy saw Emma lying on the landing, covered in blood, she immediately panicked and screamed, "Mrs. Hamilton!"
Suzy snapped back to reality, pretending to be flustered, and quickly went downstairs.
"Mom, what happened? Wake up quickly! Don't scare me!" she exclaimed, reaching out to check Emma's breathing anxiously.
Emma was still breathing, but Suzy wished that Emma would die!
"Ms. Hamilton, what should we do? Mrs. Hamilton is bleeding so much!" Wendy didn't know what to do, and her face was filled with worry.
"What else can we do? Hurry and call for an ambulance," Suzy replied.
Suzy didn't really want to find an ambulance, but with Wendy there, she had to pretend to be concerned about Emma.
"Yes." Wendy dialed for help.
Suzy stared at the trail of blood on the floor, constantly praying for more blood to flow!
The phone received a message.
Just the sound of this notification startled the guilt-ridden Suzy, who swallowed nervously and picked up her phone to examine it.
It was from the private detective.
Reading the message, Suzy furrowed her brow in thought.
‘Could this jinx person be Cora? Did Cora marry Kenneth as a replacement for Sandy, who died in a car accident? Zephyr and Cora used to be in a romantic relationship, which is why he looked at Sandy with such deep affection and pain. That's why he said such things as Sandy being Cora.’
At that moment, Sandy came back from her prenatal check-up.
When she saw Emma lying on the ground covered in blood, her eyes filled with shock.
"Suzy, what happened to Mom?" she asked.
Suzy instantly became a little flustered and quickly put away her phone.
She looked at Sandy, who walked over to check on the situation and, after thinking for a moment, suddenly slapped her.
"It's you; it's all because of you! You caused this to Mom!" Suzy yelled.
Sandy's face was struck off-kilter. She slowly turned her head, surprised and confused, and asked, "What are you talking about? What does Mom's accident have to do with me?"
Suzy pointed at her nose. "You're not Sandy at all; you're Cora, right?" she accused.
Sandy was shocked, her gaze flickering for a moment. "I don't know what you're talking about," she denied.
Suzy smirked, then pulled out a photo from her pocket.
"Cora, don't pretend anymore. I saw this photo. You and Sandy are twin sisters, right?" Suzy pressed further.
How did she get her hands on this photo?
Sandy's face turned pale, and she reached out to take the photo, but Suzy quickly dodged it.
"Cora, I also heard a rumor that your mother gave birth to twins, but you were the jinx, so your father sent you away when you were young. In reality, Sandy was the one who died in the car accident, and you replaced her to marry Kenneth, isn't that right?" Suzy said, with a tinge of superiority.
Cora swallowed hard; her face already drained of color.
Seeing Cora's expression, Suzy knew that she had guessed the truth, so she said sternly, "Mom found out about this and was extremely angry, which is why she accidentally fell down the stairs. Cora, you're just a jinx; now get out of the Hamilton Villa!"
Cora tightly clenched her fingers, feeling very sad, thinking to herself, 'I've always been a jinx. I caused my mother to die in a difficult childbirth. And then, Sandy died trying to protect me. Now, am I going to kill Emma again?’
Her heart was filled with a chill, and her hands trembled involuntarily.
Looking at the puddle of blood on the ground, Cora forced herself to remain calm. "Suzy, we can discuss the other matters later. For now, let's take Mom to the hospital first," Sandy remarked.
Suzy pushed her forcefully, saying, "You don't have to pretend to be kind here. Just get out of here!"
Cora fell to the ground, feeling a sudden pain in her abdomen.
Suzy spoke to the servants, "Get this jinx out of here right now!"
The servants were stunned, not knowing what to do.
"I am Ms. Hamilton of the Hamilton family. Do you dare not listen to me?" Suzy added, "She is not Mrs. Hamilton at all. She is fake. Hurry up and get her out of here!"
The servants looked at Cora with shock in their eyes.
Cora climbed up from the ground and replied, "I will leave on my own, Suzy. We need to get Mom to the hospital immediately."
She felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen, and her face turned pale. Then, Cora took out her phone to call Kenneth.
