Chapter 988 Caught

"Thanks." Susan adjusted her clothes, glancing at Johnnie under the moonlight, her heart racing.

She thought, 'If only we were lovers right now, how romantic it would be.Then I could lean into Johnnie's arms and watch the dandelions under the moonlight.'

"Who was the guy who watched dandelions with you under the moonlight?" Johnnie suddenly asked.

Susan burst out laughing.

Johnnie looked at her and asked, "What's so funny?"

"I'm laughing because we have a telepathic connection! I was just thinking about that too," Susan said with a bright smile.

Johnnie was silent for a moment, then asked, "So, was that guy me?"

"Yes, you don't remember?" Susan asked.

Johnnie frowned. "I don't recall."

Susan pouted. "No way, that makes me so sad."

"When did this happen?" Johnnie asked.

"It was when I was twelve." Susan said, "My parents were moving, and I didn't want to leave, so I was walking alone in the neighborhood late at night."

"You happened to come back from outside, and I asked you to sit with me for a while, and you agreed. That's when we watched the dandelions flying under the moonlight together."

Johnnie thought carefully, and it seemed vaguely familiar. But he really didn't remember.

They used to live in an old neighborhood. Later, the neighborhood was demolished and rebuilt.

During the transition, he applied to live at school. At that time, he was focused on his studies and indifferent to other things.

Looking at the shy Susan beside him, Johnnie chose his words carefully. "Susan, you're a great girl, and you should find a boyfriend. You might want to change your online name, or your future boyfriend might get jealous."

Although he didn't say it outright, Susan understood that Johnnie was indirectly rejecting her.

Susan bit her lip. "Johnnie, is there no chance for us at all? Randy and Vilma don't seem to like Ms. Costa."

"No matter if they like Gabriella or not, my feelings have nothing to do with that."

Johnnie said, "Susan, I only see you as a friend."

Susan was screaming inside, but she kept a gentle and obedient face.

"I know, with my looks, I can't compare to Ms. Costa, I'm aware of that."

"It's not about looks, it's about feelings. I only have feelings for Gabriella."

Johnnie said in front of her that he only had feelings for Gabriella.

This feeling was so stifling.

Susan felt a wave of jealousy. A woman like Gabriella, living abroad, must be very open.

Gabriella must also be very open in bed with men.

No wonder Johnnie, who had just tasted the pleasure of sex, couldn't forget Gabriella.

But Susan wasn't in a hurry, she believed that the feeling of sex would eventually become tiresome.

Randy and Vilma told her to be patient. So she would wait patiently.

"Johnnie, I understand, I will keep my feelings for you in my heart. Don't worry, I won't ruin your relationship with Ms. Costa. I'm still your neighbor, don't push me away, okay?" Susan smiled gently.

Johnnie noticed that Susan understood and felt relieved."Of course."

Susan smiled and looked up at the sky. "There are so many stars tonight. Tomorrow's gonna be sunny for sure."

Not watching her step, Susan tripped and fell forward.

"Careful." Johnnie quickly grabbed her, and she ended up in his arms.

Meanwhile, Gabriella, bored after her shower at the hotel, decided to surprise Johnnie at the hospital.

From a distance, she saw Susan and Johnnie hugging. Her smile vanished, replaced by anger.

She wanted to surprise Johnnie, but he shocked her instead.

"What are you doing?" Gabriella stormed over and, before they could react, pulled Susan away and slapped her. "Seduce someone else's boyfriend, are you shaneless?"

Susan stumbled, covering her face in shock. "Ms. Costa, I didn't seduce Johnnie. How can you hit someone?"

Johnnie frowned and grabbed Gabriella. "Gabriella, what are you doing?"

Gabriella turned to him, furious. "What am I doing? She says she didn't seduce you, so are you two-timing me?"

Johnnie frowned. "Can you calm down? She almost fell, and I helped her."

Gabriella sneered and pushed him away. "Do you think I'd believe that?"

"Ms. Costa, you misunderstood. Nothing happened between Johnnie and me. He just helped me," Susan explained.

"Stop pretending. I know you want him," Gabriella retorted angrily.

"Ms. Costa, I do like Johnnie, but I know my place. I didn't intend to ruin your relationship," Susan said, feigning innocence.

"If you didn't intend to ruin our relationship, why are you here alone so late?" Gabriella shot back. "Weren't you planning to get closer to him while I wasn't around?"

Susan's eyes flashed, but she didn't admit it.

"Ms. Costa, what will it take for you to believe me? I really didn't intend to ruin your relationship."

Gabriella glared at her, finding Susan's clothes extremely annoying.

She yanked at them and said, "If you want me to believe you, cut off all contact with Johnnie immediately. Don't interact with him anymore, then I'll believe you!"

Susan hugged herself and looked at Johnnie."Johnnie."

Johnnie's face turned cold, and he said to Gabriella, "Gabriella, that's enough. Stop being unreasonable. Apologize to Susan."

Gabriella glared at him, clutching the clothes tightly. "You want me to apologize to her? Are you sure?"

"Apologize!" Johnnie didn't back down.

Gabriella was furious, throwing the clothes at him and hitting him.

"I apologize? I catch you cheating, and you want me to apologize? Are you serious?"

"Johnnie, have you forgotten your status? You're my servant. You should flatter me, not act superior. You really think you're something!"

Seeing Gabriella hitting Johnnie recklessly, Susan quickly tried to pull her away.

"Ms. Costa, let's talk this out. Why are you hitting Johnnie? And what servant? You two..."

"Get lost, this is none of your business!" Gabriella pushed her away.

Susan lost her balance and fell to the ground.
