Chapter 475 Has She Recovered?

"Come in quickly." Seeing Nora still standing outside, Aaron urged her to get in the car.

Nora looked away, opened the car door, and got in.

Aaron quickly rolled up the car window and held her hand.

"Are you cold? Shall I turn up the temperature of the air conditioning?" Aaron asked.

Nora smiled and said, "No need. I'm hot."

She thought to herself, 'I just got out of the car. I'm not cold. I'm not that fragile.'

Nora wanted to take off her clothes, so Aaron raised his hand to help her tidy up her messy hair.

Looking at the Smith villa, Nora quietly stayed in his embrace; she said, "Aaron, do you think they will reconcile?"

Aaron raised an eyebrow and lifted her onto his lap. "Yes, they will," he answered.

"Why are you so sure?" Nora asked.

"Because you will help them," Aaron said nonchalantly.

Nora smiled and said, "That's not up to me."

Aaron turned her head to face him.

"Of course. You are as beautiful and warm as the sun. The people around you are all warmed by you. So, despite their misunderstanding, they will reconcile," he explained. Aaron's voice was magnetic and charming, very pleasing to the ears.

Nora smiled and touched his handsome face. "Are you complimenting me?" she asked playfully.

Aaron smiled and reached out to hold her hand, saying, "I will prove my words with actions!" He kissed her.

Nora instinctively held his neck with both hands until he parted her lips.

One month later, Christmas was just around the corner. Aaron was going to accompany Jacob back to Houston. But Nora and the children couldn't go with him because Ebenezer said it was Nora's first year coming home, and she had to spend this day at the Hamilton Manor.

Both Jacob and Aaron were not happy about this, but they had no choice. After all, Nora and Aaron were not married yet. He couldn't ask her to bring the children to spend this day with Gordon's family.

Aaron counted the days under Jacob's reproachful gaze. In a little over eight months, their one-year agreement would come to an end. He wouldn't have this worry next year!

In the Woodhouse Villa, Ryan's hand had almost fully recovered. Nora no longer needed to treat him every day. He only required monthly follow-up appointments.

Chloe was also gradually recovering under her treatment. On this day, just after Nora finished treating Chloe, Arthur returned. When he saw Nora was there too, alertness and resentment flashed in his eyes. But he quickly concealed his emotions.

Arthur greeted, "Nora, it's nice to see you." Although he hid his emotions, he no longer treated Nora with the same respect as before.

Nora replied, "I came to see Chloe."

Arthur held a big package in his hand and looked tired.

Nora needed to find out where he had come from. In the past month, she had been treating Chloe and had not encountered him.

She didn't ask Chloe where Arthur had been. Mrs. Woodhouse told her that Arthur seemed to have been taking care of Olivia alone, who had become mentally disturbed.

No one knew the reason.

When a woman suddenly becomes mentally disturbed, it is certainly because she has suffered a great shock.

Nora suspected that Olivia had been raped, wishing to tell Arthur that she could treat Olivia. Although she might not be able to cure Olivia, she knew many doctors with whom she could help Arthur get in touch.

But Arthur didn't seek her help, and she wouldn't go looking for trouble.

After all, Olivia had always wanted to take Aaron away.

Nora could have been more kind-hearted.

"Are you done with your business? Are you leaving? Goodbye," Arthur said as he forced a smile, hinting at Nora to leave.

Nora glanced at him without saying a word.

She thought, 'He's being so cold to me; maybe it's because of Olivia.'

She didn't want to stay, but she was a bit worried about Chloe.

Nora stayed silent for a while, then turned and held Chloe's hand. She said, "Chloe, you're still weak. You need to take care of yourself. I'll come to visit you often in the future. If your parents find out there's no one taking care of you, they'll surely worry."

Nora thought, 'I intentionally mentioned her parents to warn Arthur. I hope he understands.'

Arthur understood, and he almost couldn't maintain the forced smile on his face.

Chloe looked at Aaron's gloomy face and gently patted Nora's hand.

Chloe replied, "Don't worry. I'm fine. You're tired. Go back and rest." She was calm.

Nora hesitated. She still felt uneasy about leaving the two of them alone. But Chloe smiled reassuringly at her.

Nora thought and sighed in relief, 'This is the Woodhouse Villa. And Chloe is no longer foolish.'

"I'll be leaving now, Chloe. Call me if you need anything," Nora announced.

"Okay. I'll walk you out," Chloe replied and got up to accompany Nora to the door.

As Nora looked at Chloe's warm and gentle smile, Arthur's expression changed.

He had been absent for almost a month, all this time taking care of Olivia, so he ignored Chloe or spoke to her.

But just now, the way she spoke was completely different.

It wasn't the way a foolish person would speak, but a normal person would.

He thought, 'Has Chloe become normal? Did Nora treat her during this month? But she was convinced by me to refuse Nora's treatment!'

Arthur had many thoughts as his heart skipped a beat, seeing her calm eyes.

Once, he was just a driver for the Woodhouse family, and Chloe was a noble lady. They came from completely different social classes.

Before Chloe went mad, he could only admire her from a distance.

He knew very well that he could never get close to the normal her. After all, his status was too low.

So, if Chloe recovers her sanity, can their fraudulent marriage continue?

Arthur swallowed his saliva and forced a smile.

He walked over and held Chloe's hand, his voice softening.

"Chloe, have you missed me this past month? Sorry, Olivia had some issues. I've been busy taking care of her, so I ignored you. You don't blame me, do you?" he asked, pretending to be caring.

Chloe's face turned ashen, asking him to let go of her hand and sit on the couch.

She stated, "Arthur, let's get a divorce."

The smile on Arthur's face froze, looking at Chloe's indifferent and distant eyes.

He was certain that Chloe must have recovered her sanity!

He thought, 'She's going to divorce me as soon as she regains her sanity! No way!'

Arthur sat down next to her and held her hand.

He pretended to care and said, "Chloe, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly divorcing me? Are you blaming me for not being with you? It's my fault. Once Olivia recovers, I promise not to leave you. I will take good care of you."
