Chapter 1019 When I Descended as an Angel

"Honey, do you think he can use magic to wake someone up?" Aaron whispered to Nora, raising an eyebrow.

Nora chuckled. "If he can, then so can I. You should start calling me an angel, not a miracle doctor!"

Aaron laughed and pointed at Dale lying on the ground. "Is he in some kind of suspended animation?"

Nora nodded.

Aaron glanced at Signe, who was seriously setting up a ritual. "He won't accidentally kill Dale, right? If Dale dies, we'll get blamed."

Nora thought for a moment. 'Signe isn't simple. He knows some medical skills but isn't very good. He must have guessed that Seraphina used medical skills to put Dale in suspended animation. He'll try to wake Dale up, but his lack of skill might turn the fake death into a real one, and he'd blame me. What should I do?'

Walter's servant brought the items Signe requested.

Nora watched Signe shaking a bell and circling Dale, performing the ritual seriously, a spark of intrigue in her eyes.

"Frederick."

Frederick, hidden in the corner, appeared.

"Mrs. Gordon."

Nora whispered a few words to him.

Frederick nodded and stepped aside.

"Honey, what did you say to Frederick?" Aaron asked.

"You'll find out soon," Nora said mysteriously.

"Keeping secrets from me?" Aaron raised an eyebrow.

"It's called a sense of mystery," Nora replied.

Aaron was speechless. Nora was getting more playful!

Everyone held their breath, watching Signe intently.

Nora saw Signe pour a large basin of water over Dale and sneered inwardly. 'Does Signe think this will wake Dale up? He's either stupid or malicious.'

After pouring the water, Signe looked down at Dale's reaction. Dale's eyes remained closed, still unconscious.

Signe, having failed, continued shaking the bell and then ceremoniously tied a red string around Dale's hand. He muttered something under his breath.

After a while, Signe stopped muttering, squatted down, and asked Manuel for the scissors. Manuel complied quickly.

Signe took the scissors and started cutting Dale's hair. Nora watched, her eyes glinting. As she suspected, Signe knew some medical skills. His actions were actually preparing to give an injection. This could stimulate a person's nerves and bring them to consciousness. But if done carelessly, it could be disastrous. Dale might die. So it was a real test of the doctor's skill. Without enough experience, an injection needle could send someone to hell.

Nora saw Signe getting ready to inject. She glanced at Frederick. Frederick understood and flicked something from his hand. Signe's body lurched forward uncontrollably. The injection needle in his hand went in, but due to the momentum, it missed the point.

Signe's face changed, and he hurriedly tried to retrieve the needle. Seraphina spoke up at the right moment, "Signe, aren't you performing a ritual to summon spirits? Why are you using medical skills?"

Hugo translated her words, and Signe, flustered, tried to hide the injection needle. But Frederick grabbed his wrist and took it from him. Signe's face turned pale, realizing he had been tricked. These Chrisland people were really cunning.

Signe's eyes shifted, and he argued, "What are you doing? I'm using a combination of spirit summoning and medical skills. If you don't understand, don't interfere. You could ruin my ritual!"

This Signe was really sly, trying to turn the tables!

Nora's face remained cold. "Signe, are you saying you can't summon your assistant's spirit anymore?"

Signe seized the opportunity, "I was in the process, but you interrupted me. Sorry, I did my best."

Walter and his servants were in an uproar. Astrid was overjoyed and shouted, "Murderers! You Chrisland people are committing murder in my house. Call the police, quickly! Let the police arrest them!"

"Enough!" Walter, irritated, slapped her. "Stop shouting! If you keep this up, get out of here."

Astrid covered her face, incredulous. "Walter, you hit me?"

Walter, angry, said, "You forced me. I've warned you several times, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon are our guests. Don't act out. Did you listen? Do you even respect me?"

Astrid's eyes flashed with hatred. "I want Signe to use his ritual to kill them!"

"Alright, both of you, calm down," Hugo quickly intervened.

Walter suppressed his anger and asked Hugo to inquire with Aaron and Nora, "What now? Is Signe's assistant really dead?"

Seraphina nodded seriously. "Yes."

Walter was shocked. "Mr. Gordon, Mrs. Gordon, this is a serious matter!"

Billy looked up at him and said, "Walter, if my mommy can save this person, wouldn't she be better than Signe?"

Walter glanced at Signe and nodded. "Of course!"

"Then let my mommy save him," Billy said, making a gesture of invitation.

Nora laughed and patted his little head. "You're praising me too much. Aren't you afraid I'll fail?"

Billy grinned. "No way, mommy is the best miracle doctor."

Nora said, "Don't flatter me. Seraphina can do it too."

Seraphina quickly said, "It's because you taught me well."

"Honey, show them your amazing medical skills!" Aaron chimed in.

Nora smiled, squatted down, and quickly used injection needles to stimulate several points on the assistant. Before long, Dale on the ground slowly opened his eyes. He woke up!

Walter and the others were shocked. Manuel quickly helped Dale up. "How are you?"

The dazed Dale asked, "What happened to me?"

"You weren't breathing."

"Am I resurrected now?"

Manuel and Dale exchanged a glance and instinctively looked at Nora, a hint of fear in their eyes. It was said that Signe could communicate with the dead and bring people back to life, like God. But they knew Signe was just using tricks to fool people. No one in the world could bring someone back to life. But now it seemed, it wasn't impossible, they just hadn't seen it before. This Nora in front of them had that ability, didn't she?
