Chapter 126 Such a Womanizer
Samantha clapped her hands in delight.
Nora shot Aaron a fiery glance, her anger flaring.
Feeling her eyes on him, Aaron said to Samantha, "Nora's getting mad. Let's ease up on her; stop the bumper cars."
Samantha's eyes sparkled. "Okay then. Mommy, Alex, Mr. Gordon and I will go easy on you guys."
Alex was defiant. "Mommy, let's switch places. I want to drive."
He refused to believe he couldn't outmaneuver Mr. Gordon!
Nora assented with a nod, swallowed her annoyance, and swapped seats with Alex.
Taking the wheel, Alex went on the offensive against Aaron's car.
"Mr. Gordon, run for it!" Samantha yelled.
A glint of amusement passed through Aaron's eyes. "Alright, make a run for it!"
He agreed smoothly, though his actions were leisurely.
This allowed Alex to corner him with little effort.
"The car's stopped!" Samantha exclaimed in disappointment.
A flicker of triumph shone in Alex's bright eyes as he taunted Aaron.
Aaron flashed him a thumbs-up. "Alex, you’re leading like a big brother. Nice work!"
Alex stood tall, chin slightly lifted in a cocky little pose.
Nora, seeing right through it, knew Aaron had let Alex win on purpose.
This man, even after teasing her earlier, showed a thoughtful and caring side toward the kids.
"Samantha, let's go find Noe," she suggested.
Aaron circled the area a few times before challenging Noe.
Billy and Noe, absorbed in their own game, saw Aaron heading for them, and Billy shouted, "Noe, incoming, get out of the way!"
"Got it."
Noe quickly steered clear, narrowly avoiding a collision.
Of course, Aaron wasn't one to back off easily. With agile hands, he continued the chase, his car aiming for another hit.
Noe stood no chance; he dodged twice but got hit straight into a shutdown.
"Man, we got shut down!" Billy said, his face a portrait of disappointment.
"Mr. Gordon, you’re so awesome!" Samantha clapped her tiny hands with sheer delight.
"Noe, let's switch places."
Billy's eyes lit up with excitement as he saw Alex take the driver's seat.
Without hesitation, Noe swapped places with him.
Billy gripped the steering wheel and shouted to Alex, "Alex, let's double-team Mr. Gordon!"
A sparkle appeared in Alex's eyes. "Okay."
Together, they steered their cars towards Aaron's bumper car.
"Mr. Gordon, get out of there!" Samantha screamed.
Aaron raised an eyebrow, maneuvering the steering wheel with agility to dodge the attack.
Alex and Billy relentlessly pursued him.
With a sly smile, Aaron allowed them a moment of triumph before plotting his comeback.
Laughing children's voices echoed throughout the play area.
Nora watched the three kids have the time of their lives, her gaze drifting back to the handsome man.
'Why does he have to be such a playboy?' she wondered.
If only he weren't a playboy, she'd allow herself to fall for him, to take a chance against all odds!
Shaking these thoughts away, Nora continued to engage with the children.
An hour passed, and the kids showed no signs of wearing out.
Worried about Aaron's leg injury worsening, Nora intervened, "Okay, that's enough of this game. Do you want to try something else, or shall we head back?"
Their faces beaming with joy, Samantha was the first to reply, "Mommy, can we play just a little longer?"
"Mommy, let's hit a few more rides!" Billy eagerly seconded.
Alex though remained silent, shared the same eager look.
"Alright then, let's get off."
Nora stepped out of the car and lifted Alex out.
She then hurried to Aaron's car, first helping Samantha out and then assisting him.
"Thomas, how's your leg feeling?"
Aaron caught her concerned look, and his lips curled up slightly, "Are you worrying about me?"
Nora set her face in a serious expression. "I'm asking you a serious question!"
Aaron chuckled softly, "I'm holding up okay for now."
Nora's brows knit together slightly. "Maybe we should just go back."
"There's no rush. Let the kids enjoy a few more games. Worst case, you can just give me an extra-long massage tonight," Aaron suggested.
Nora parted her lips to say more, but Aaron had already started to shuffle forward.
Quick to support him, Nora and the three children gathered around him, their eyes filled with concern.
Samantha grasped his hand gently. "Mr. Gordon, we don't have to play if your leg hurts."
"Right, Mr. Gordon, if you're not feeling well, we can head back now," Billy chimed in.
Alex nodded in agreement, his gesture showing solidarity.
Aaron's heart softened as he lifted his hand to gently touch the soft hair of the three children.
"Don't worry, I’m not that fragile. Go on and have fun," he reassured them.
With his blessing, the trio dashed off to try a few more rides.
Nora insisted that Aaron sit in the wheelchair, making sure he wouldn't stand again.
"Alex, let's have a shooting contest!"
Billy spotted the shooting range, and his excitement was palpable.
Alex's chin lifted slightly in defiance. "Do we even need to compete? We've done this at home, and when have you ever beaten me?"
Caught off guard, Billy retorted defensively, "That's different. This is a real competition. You might not be as good as me here."
With a haughty smile, Alex accepted the challenge, "Let's see about that."
"I want to compete too!"
Samantha, not to be left out, clamored to join in.
Noe glanced around, grabbed a small stool for the siblings to stand on, and attended to them attentively.
The three kids might have been shorter than the table, but their stance was nothing short of professional.
Alex fired three arrows in quick succession, each one hitting the bullseye.
Billy wasn't far behind, scoring two bullseyes and a nine.
Even the less serious Samantha managed an eight.
"Not bad!" Aaron watched their skillful attempts and clapped his hands in praise.
Filled with pride from his compliment, the kids became even more focused on their shooting.
Seeing their expertise, Nora couldn't help herself and picked up an arrow.
Surely, she thought, if the children could do it, so could she!
But reality often differs from the dreams.
Her first arrow landed a mere six points.
Samantha covered her mouth to hide her snicker. "Mommy, I'm even better than you!"
Nora's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "I was just messing around; that doesn't count. Watch my real skills now."
Determined to show she wasn't outdone by Samantha,
Yet, contrary to her hopes,
She scored another six.
She really wasn't better than Samantha.
"Mr. Gordon, you're the best. Can you teach Mommy how to shoot, please!" Samantha turned to Aaron with an expectant look.
Aaron raised an eyebrow and agreed, rising from his wheelchair.
"No need!" Nora exclaimed quickly.
But Aaron was already behind her, his hand finding her waist without permission.
"Stand up straight, with your legs slightly apart. Your fingers should be like this."
