Chapter 659 She Remembered All
At the Hamilton family, men had all gone to work, leaving Sandy at home with Emma.
"Why can't I reach Nora on the phone? What's she doing?"
Emma sat on the couch, frowning and looking agitated.
Sandy brewed a pot of tea for her and sat down beside Emma.
"Mom, don't worry about Nora. She went to visit Alex. You know, the Jones family sometimes has poor signal."
Hearing this, Emma shook her head. "Usually, Nora and I will make a video call with Alex in the evenings, and Alex always picks up. But last night, I couldn't reach Alex either."
Seeing Emma's worried expression, she patiently reassured her, "If we don't hear from Nora by this afternoon, I'll go with you to the Jones family place, okay?"
Hearing Sandy say this, Emma didn't say anything more.
She took the teacup and sipped some tea, then couldn't help but notice the white gauze still covering Sandy's face. "Didn't you say you were going to a beauty clinic for cosmetic surgery? When are you going?"
"Ken has already scheduled an appointment with the doctor. I'll go for a check-up tomorrow."
Sandy touched her face and glanced down at her belly.
"I can't have the surgery now, and I have to wait until after the baby is born."
Emma also glanced at Sandy's belly, her gaze softening a bit.
"You're carrying the Hamilton family's first grandchild. You must be very careful."
Sandy nodded. "I know."
Talking about the baby seemed to lift Emma's spirits.
"Have you and Ken discussed names for the baby?"
Sandy shook her head. "Not yet. How about you and Dad help us pick one?"
Emma nodded. "Sure, your father can name your child. He has experience, and he has named a lot of kids."
"Okay."
As they were chatting, Emma suddenly felt a sharp pain in her temples.
She frowned, closed her eyes, and groaned in pain.
"Mom, what's wrong?"
Sandy was startled, quickly put down her teacup, and asked with concern.
Emma didn't speak, but some images vaguely appeared in her mind.
"Mom, there's something I haven't told you. Nora's three kids are Aaron Gordon's. Mom, if Jacob does a DNA test, their family will be reunited! In that case, it wouldn't matter if Nora can't marry into the Hamilton family! Mom, I hate Nora. I don't want her to use her kids to gain status."
These were Suzy's words to Emma!
Suzy said that Alex, Billy, and Samantha were Aaron's!
This was the memory Emma had forgotten.
"Mom, tell me, where do you feel uncomfortable?"
Seeing Emma's pale face and unusual demeanor, Sandy asked again.
Emma slowly opened her eyes, her tone a bit excited.
"Sandy, I remembered something!"
"What is it?"
Emma was about to speak when Nora walked in.
"Mom, Sandy, I'm back."
Both of them looked up simultaneously, and Sandy got up to greet her.
"Nora, you're finally back. Mom was worried about you."
Nora smiled at her and quickly walked over to sit beside her seeing Emma's unwell appearance, intending to check her pulse.
Emma stared fixedly at Nora, fragments of memories continuously surfacing in her mind.
She remembered.
She remembered everything!
Emma remembered all those fragmented memories caused by the fall!
Looking at Nora's delicate face, she grabbed Nora's hand.
"Nora."
Emma found it hard to speak, ashamed of the foolish things she had done.
"Mom, don't get upset. I'm back safe and sound."
Nora thought her mother was worried about her and softly reassured her.
Emma tightened her grip on Nora's hand, her eyes filled with countless emotions—excitement, guilt, and most of all, regret.
"Nora, I'm really sorry."
Nora blinked. "Mom, what's wrong? Don't get excited. Have some water and tell me slowly."
Emma stopped Nora from reaching for the water cup and said, "Nora, I've regained all my lost memories."
Nora's eyes lit up. "That's great news! So why are you apologizing to me?"
Emma said, "Because I hid something for Suzy."
"What is it?"
Emma paused. "Your three children are actually Aaron's!"
Nora was stunned, staring at Emma.
Even though she had a premonition, hearing it still made her heart skip a beat, and she was filled with excitement.
"Mom, how do you know?"
Emma thought for a moment, trying to recall the past events.
"Last October, when your father found out about your existence, our family was preparing to welcome you into the Hamilton family."
"Your father visited Jacob and noticed that your three children looked a lot like Aaron. He suggested Jacob that he do a DNA test for Aaron and your children."
"At home, Suzy cried to me, saying how despicable you were, and how you had stolen her man. She said the three children were yours and Aaron's. But she hated you and didn't want you to use the children to gain status."
"At that time, I didn't know you were my biological daughter, so I sided with Suzy and had Ken's assistant switch the DNA test results that Jacob had done."
Emma explained the situation to Nora.
Finally, she looked ashamed. "Nora, I really don't deserve to be your mother."
Nora listened quietly, seeing the guilt on Emma's face, and patted her hand.
"Mom, it's all the past. The truth will come out eventually. Even if you hadn't remembered this today, I might have been able to prove in a few days that Aaron is the children's biological father."
Although Emma's actions were quite underhanded, and Nora did feel a bit of resentment towards her, Emma was her biological mother, after all.
Besides, Emma had been deceived by Suzy at the time.
It could only be said that Emma's way of raising her children was flawed.
Her indulgence had fueled Suzy's arrogance, leading to a series of unfortunate events.
But those who did bad things would not have a good ending.
As for Nora and Aaron, perhaps God had a plan for them.
God must be testing their love, and the truth will come out only when it is confirmed to be true.
This was actually a good thing.
Without going through storms, one couldn't see the rainbow.
If Nora had gained status through her children from the beginning, her relationship with Aaron might not have been as pure and sincere as it was now.
So, every coin had two sides.
"Nora, are you saying that you already suspected Mr. Gordon was Alex and the others' biological father?"
Sandy was shocked after hearing Emma's words.
Nora's emotional journey had been so tumultuous and full of surprises!
