Chapter 403 These Women Are Truly Foolish
Ava hugged his waist and cried, "But I really can't bear to part with the child."
Flynt lightly stroked her back, no warmth in his eyes despite his incredibly gentle tone.
"I understand. I also can't bear to, but sacrifices must be made. Ava, think of our better future."
"Don't worry, when I earn enough money, I'll definitely hold a grand wedding for you. You'll live in a huge mansion with a large swimming pool and a golf course. You will be a full-time housewife and obediently be my woman."
He spoke with great confidence.
On the other hand, Ava smiled through her tears.
"I look forward to it, Flynt."
"So do I."
He wiped her tears away, revealing slight disdain and smugness in his eyes.
These women were truly foolish.
As long as he said a few words, they'd completely believe him.
There was no sense of accomplishment at all!
At that moment, a message from Evella came in.
Flynt's eyes flashed slightly, patting Ava's butt, "You look like a kitten; go wash your face quickly."
Ava sniffled, nodded, and went to the bathroom.
He picked up his phone and glanced at the message.
Evella was inviting him to a meal with Nora and Sandy at university.
Flynt thought about how he still needed to comfort Ava and replied.
Flynt: [Sorry Evella, but I have something going on right now and can't make it. How about I treat them to dinner tonight?]
Evella quickly replied to the message.
Evella: [Okay, I'll ask them and get back to you later.]
He sent an "OK" emoji in response.
Afterward, he threw his phone aside with a wicked smile.
He had two things to do tonight.
One, finish what he needed to finish last time.
Two, sleep with Evella!
At Lindwood City University.
Receiving Flynt's reply, Evella told Nora and Sandy, sitting across from her, "He's busy with something right now, but he said he'll treat you guys to dinner tonight."
Nora and Sandy exchanged a knowing look.
"Sure, but we don't need him to treat us; I can take care of it," Nora replied.
"No problem, it doesn't matter who treats. Let him pay this time, and you can do that next time," Evella chuckled.
Will there be a next time?
Nora neither confirmed nor denied it.
Soon, the three of them began eating.
Seeing Evella now clearly infatuated, Nora couldn't help but ask, "Evella, how far have you two progressed in these past few days?"
"Huh? What?" Evella didn't react at first.
"I mean..."
Nora actually wanted to ask if they had slept together.
However, some things were just hard to ask.
"Have you two slept together?" Sandy swallowed a mouthful of food and spoke for Nora.
Nora nodded repeatedly.
Evella's face reddened, feeling uncomfortable.
"No, not at all. He had several performances during this time, so we haven't had much contact."
Well, that was good.
Nora and Sandy exchanged glances, inexplicably relieved.
"So, you guys are just platonic now?" Nora persistently confirmed.
Evella blushed, "Why are you so curious, Nora?"
Nora laughed awkwardly. She wasn't really curious; she was just concerned for Evella
If Evella gave her first time to a scumbag, it'd be disgusting to think about it later.
"Evella, Flynt is a handsome and popular musician; you need to be careful of his pursuers," Sandy deliberately reminded.
Evella's face turned slightly serious, "Sisters, I'm very clear on this. Between me and Flynt, I won't meddle in his personal life. If he's mine, then he's mine. If not, then so be it."
"If he truly loves me, he wouldn't hurt me. If he does do something, it only means he doesn't love me enough, and there's no need for us to be together."
Hearing this, Nora raised an eyebrow with slight admiration in her eyes.
Before, she was worried Evella would be devastated if it turned out Flynt was a scumbag.
After all, she seemed deeply in love with him.
But now, her perspective on love was still quite correct.
The three of them chatted while eating.
After finishing the meal, Nora and Sandy bid farewell to Evella and left the school.
Nora glanced at the time and prepared to go to the Woodhouse family's residence to help Ryan with his treatment.
Sandy, being pregnant, sent her home to take a nap first.
"Nora, as soon as Kenneth sends me the information he found, I'll send it to you immediately."
Sandy remembered this, while Nora smiled and responded.
After dropping Nora off at the Hamilton family's residence, Sandy had Frederick turn to the Woodhouse family's residence.
Ever since being discharged from the hospital, Ryan had been living at the Woodhouse family's old mansion.
When Nora arrived, he was playing soccer in the yard.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Woodhouse and Mrs. Woodhouse Senior were sitting in the pavilion, watching him play.
Seeing Nora, Mrs. Woodhouse quickly got up to greet her.
"Nora, you're here."
"Mrs. Woodhouse, Mrs. Woodhouse Senior." Nora greeted the two.
"You two chat; I'll go back to my room first."
Mrs. Woodhouse Senior smiled, preparing to go back for a nap.
Mrs. Woodhouse called Ryan over and lovingly wiped his sweat, handing him a water bottle.
"You're all sweaty. Are you tired?"
Ryan was panting. He took the water bottle and gulped down a few mouthfuls before replying, "I'm not tired! If I don't exercise, I'll get chubby. Samantha would dislike me!"
Nora and Mrs. Woodhouse were speechless.
Well, this child's mind was always filled with Samantha.
They couldn't help but laugh.
Mrs. Woodhouse linked arms with Ryan and walked toward the villa's front hall, Nora following along.
The family's yard was very large.
In addition to the large lawns, the yard was also filled with various green plants and flowers.
The cool breeze blew, refreshing their hearts.
The three of them walked and talked as they crossed the corridor.
At this moment, a figure came running from the opposite side and collided head-on with Ryan.
Both of them exclaimed.
The other person took a step back and stumbled, falling to the ground.
On the other hand, Mrs. Woodhouse caught in time, so he didn't fall.
"Ryan, is your hand alright?"
She looked worried, asking about his hand first.
She was primarily worried about him experiencing secondary injuries to his hand.
"I'm fine."
Ryan shook his head and looked toward the other party, "Chloe fell."
Mrs. Woodhouse was only concerned about Ryan’s safety, so she didn't notice who the other person was.
Now, she recognized her after a quick glance.
"So, it's Chloe," she said.
At this moment, Nora helped Chloe up.
Hearing Mrs. Woodhouse's words, something stirred in Nora's heart.
Chloe? So, this middle-aged woman in front of her was Emma's sister, right?
Nora observed Chloe, noticing she was in her forties with gray hair at her temples.
Despite that, she had good features which resembled Emma's to some extent.
However, her complexion seemed unusually pale.
Chloe was currently frowning at Ryan, clutching her sore bottom.
"I'm in pain after you ran into me; you should apologize!"
