Chapter 607 Strange Feeling Arises Again
"I almost forgot about this, so you'd better have milk with a sandwich." Nora felt relieved and pushed the milk and sandwich towards Aaron.
Aaron glanced at her, dissatisfied." Nora, you're acting strange today, not treating me like a patient at all."
Nora smiled and shrugged, playing a little coy, saying, "You know, women tend to be more emotional during their period. Don't be mad."
Aaron shook his head and sighed.
After that, he didn't insist on having coffee and started eating breakfast.
Nora followed suit.
At that moment, there was a video call request on the phone. It was from Billy.
Nora's expression softened as she answered the call.
On the screen appeared the small figures of Alex, Billy, and Samantha.
"Hey, babies, are you all up?" Nora asked.
"Yes, Mommy," Alex, Billy, and Samantha replied in unison.
Samantha squeezed to the front and said, "Mommy, yesterday after school, Margaret said you agreed to let her teach me singing. Can I start learning with Margaret after school today?"
Nora considered Margaret's schedule and nodded, saying, "Yes, after school today, Margaret will come to teach you singing."
Samantha's eyes lit up with excitement. "Will Margaret teach me singing at Great Grandpa's house, or at Grandma and Grandpa's house, or at Daddy's house?"
Due to Aaron's sudden accident, she hadn't thought about this yet.
While she was pondering, Adelbert's voice came through the phone. "Samantha, if you want to learn singing, of course, you should have the teacher come to my house."
This was to ensure that Nora wouldn't take them away as soon as the kids finished school.
Nora smiled and said, "Listen to your great grandpa, I'll have Margaret come to his house to teach you singing after school."
"Okay, I'll tell Margaret." Samantha's eyes sparkled with excitement.
Adelbert leaned in and said, "Nora, it's been a while since you and Aaron came to the Gordon Manor for dinner. Come over tonight."
Nora glanced at Aaron, who was having breakfast, and asked, "Shall we go?"
Aaron swallowed his food, something flickering in his eyes; he said, "Yes."
Nora agreed and exchanged a few words with Adelbert. When she thought Aaron would come over and talk to the kids, he remained focused on his breakfast, so Nora ended the call first.
Aaron finished his breakfast, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and asked, "Does Samantha want to learn to sing?"
"Yes. Since Samantha rarely shows interest in something, we should grab the opportunity and cultivate her curiosity." Nora replied.
Aaron glanced at her casually and asked, "Is the singing teacher a beautiful woman?"
Thinking of Margaret's face, Nora nodded. "Yes, Margaret is very beautiful."
"In what way, beautiful?" Aaron's eyes showed a hint of curiosity.
Nora paused for a moment, then looked at Aaron and furrowed her brows slightly.
That strange feeling arose in her mind again. In the past, Aaron had never talked about how other women were beautiful in front of her because, in his eyes, no one was prettier than her.
Nora swallowed and said, "Margaret will come to the Gordon Manor tonight to teach Samantha singing. You'll see for yourself then."
Aaron glanced at her and teased, "Are you jealous?"
Nora looked at him again and felt she might be overthinking.
Aaron probably just asked casually to assert his presence without any deeper meaning.
"Women are sensitive," Aaron said. He reached out and pinched Nora's cheek.
Nora dodged playfully, saying, "I am not jealous. Today, you rest at home and don't go to the office."
She changed the subject, and Aaron didn't pursue it further.
He said, "Will you stay with me at home?"
She said, "I have to go back to give Kenneth acupuncture treatment first."
And then, she had to do a genetic comparison.
Aaron nodded without saying much.
Nora finished her breakfast, went upstairs, changed her clothes, grabbed her belongings, and returned to the Hamilton family.
After Kenneth was given acupuncture treatment, she went to the Gordon Manor of the Hamilton family.
At that time, Adelbert and Jacob were playing chess.
Nora greeted them.
Adelbert asked, "Nora, why are you here at this time? What's up?"
"Nothing, I suddenly remembered that Samantha's favorite dress needed mending, and she kept reminding me to take it for repairs. Since I had some free time now, I came to pick it up. You guys continue," Nora told a lie.
Adelbert and Jacob were engrossed in their chess game and didn't inquire further.
After going upstairs, Nora went straight to Billy's room, then took a few strands of hair from the comb in the bathroom and placed them next to Aaron's hair.
After arranging everything, she looked at herself in the mirror and pursed her lips.
She was curious about what the results of the comparison would be.
Leaving Billy's room, Nora went to Samantha's room, picked up a small dress to pretend, then headed downstairs.
Adelbert and Jacob were still playing chess.
After exchanging greetings with them, Nora left the Gordon Manor and headed straight to the hospital.
On the way, Frederick seemed puzzled, saying, "Dr. Hamilton, are you feeling unwell?"
Nora replied, "No, just have some business at the hospital."
Frederick didn't press further and dropped her off at the hospital.
Nora went straight to the lab for testing. She requested expedited processing so she would have the results in three days.
After leaving the hospital and sitting back in the car, she was lost in thought.
"Dr. Hamilton, where to now?" Frederick inquired.
Nora snapped out of her thoughts and said, "To Aaron's place."
Frederick acknowledged and started the car.
Nora took out her phone and called Aaron.
After a few rings, he answered, "Hello."
"Did you rest well at home this morning?" Nora asked.
"Of course, I followed your orders," Aaron replied.
Nora said with a smile, "I'll be back soon to have dinner with you."
Aaron hesitated and said, "I'm not at home right now."
Nora's smile faltered. "If you're not at home, where are you? I told you to rest at home."
Aaron replied, "I'm fine; I'm at the office."
Knowing Aaron was busy, Nora said reluctantly, "Remember to take care of yourself and don't overwork."
"Okay," he said.
After that, Aaron hung up.
Nora was stunned, staring at the screen in a daze.
In the past, Aaron wouldn't have hung up first when they talked on the phone. He always waited for her to hang up first. And he wouldn't end the call after just a few words. Aaron would usually tease her a bit before ending the call. But just now, he must have been busy.
"Dr. Hamilton, are we still going back to Mr. Gordon's place now?" Frederick asked upon hearing her phone call.
Nora came back to reality and said quietly, "Let's go to Aaron's office."
She was worried about Aaron, unsure if he had forgotten to eat and rest in the midst of his work.
Since she hadn't eaten either, she decided to go to the office to have a meal with Aaron.
Frederick drove the car to Gordon's group branch in Lindwood City.
