Chapter 531 Should We Do Another Paternity Test?
Hearing this, Nora was slightly taken aback.
He was going to bring Erin home!
Did that mean he no longer needed her to take care of Erin for him?
Indeed, the Jones family was a superfamily, so they probably had enough people to take care of Erin.
Even after the video call ended, Nora was still frowning.
If she didn't repay Matthew for saving her life, she wouldn't be at peace!
That night, the four children still stayed at the Hamilton Manor.
Due to Emma's strong request, Nora went back to the Hamilton Villa with Emma.
At night, she naturally shared a room with Emma.
Ebenezer was sent to the guest room to sleep.
The mother and daughter chatted on the same bed; Emma was full of energy.
It wasn't until after eleven that Emma finally started to sleep under Nora's strong urging.
Nora was also tired. She yawned and heard Emma ask. "Nora, do you really not know who the father of these three children is?"
Nora paused, then shook her head.
Emma muttered again, "I think these three children look a lot like Aaron. Do you want to do a genetic comparison for them? Maybe the children are Aaron's?"
Nora smiled. "I've already done it a long time ago."
Emma said, "Why not do it again? Maybe, like you and me, there was a mistake somewhere?"
Nora didn't know what to say.
'How could there be so many coincidences?'
She had personally done the genetic comparison between Aaron and the children.
"Alright, Mom, we're women. It's best to go to bed before eleven at night, or we'll age easily."
Nora changed the subject.
Emma touched her face, and her attention was immediately diverted.
"That's right, let's go to sleep quickly. We need to keep our beauty sleep."
"Mm."
Nora closed her eyes, turned to hug Emma's body, and inhaled her mother's scent. Suddenly, Emma's words flashed through her mind.
'Was there a mistake somewhere?
Something seemed to flash through her mind too quickly for her to grasp.
A huge wave of drowsiness hit her. She moved closer to Emma and then fell asleep in a daze.
The next day, Ebenezer had Kenneth brought home.
Then, he went to the company to deal with the mountain of work that had piled up.
In the room converted into a medical room, Emma looked at her son lying silently on the bed, tears in her eyes, filled with regret.
She had never thought that because of a momentary lapse in judgment, she would cause her son to become a vegetable.
If she could do it all over again, she would never have listened to Suzy's advice!
"Mom, I'm here to treat big brother."
Nora comforted Emma with a few words and asked her to go out first.
Emma nodded and left the room but didn't go far; just waited on the third floor.
Before long, a servant came upstairs. "Mrs. Woodhouse, Ms. Suzy Hamilton is back."
'Suzy was back?'
Emma wiped away the tears at the corners of her eyes and walked downstairs.
In the first-floor living room, Suzy plopped down on the sofa and asked the servant to get her a glass of juice quickly.
She had gone out of town for two events in the past two days and was exhausted.
Seeing Emma come downstairs, she greeted her.
"Mom, I'm back."
Suzy's face was still adorned with delicate makeup. Emma thought of how she had once hurt Nora and found this face somewhat unfamiliar.
Maybe because she had found her biological daughter, she suddenly became clear-headed and rational.
She kept thinking. 'how did she spoil an adopted daughter so badly?'
"Mom, why are you looking at me like that? Have you been crying?"
Seeing Emma's red eyes and staring at her intently, Suzy felt a bit strange.
Emma sat on the sofa. "Your brother is back. I thought that he became a vegetable because of my confusion."
Hearing this, Suzy was slightly taken aback, a hint of surprise flashing across her face.
"Mom, you know about brother's car accident? Who told you? Howard?"
Emma glanced at her and said, "I know everything."
'She knew everything!
Did that mean she also knew how she fell down the stairs?'
Suzy was extremely surprised. She probed. "Mom, have you regained your memory?"
Emma looked at her. "Suzy, why are you so nervous? Is there another story behind my fall down the stairs?"
Her gaze scrutinized Suzy. Suzy felt that today's Emma was different from before.
Suzy felt guilty, but her strong acting skills quickly calmed her down.
"Mom, what are you talking about? I'm just worried about your health!"
Emma withdrew her gaze and said, "I haven't regained my memory. But I know everything I need to know."
'It was good that she hadn't regained her memory.
But what did she know?'
Suzy asked, "Mom, what do you know?"
Emma said, "For example, Nora's origin."
'The origin of Nora!'
Suzy nervously said, "Mom, what origin? Isn't she just Dad's illegitimate daughter?"
"No, Nora is my biological daughter," Emma said.
'She knew!
How did she know!'
Suzy's expression revealed her surprise. She quickly asked, "Mom, who told you that Nora is your biological daughter? I told you she's Dad's illegitimate daughter."
"No, she is my biological daughter." Emma corrected again.
Suzy said, "Mom, did Dad tell you that? I'm telling you, don't listen to Dad. He's just afraid you'll trouble Nora, so he deliberately lied to you."
Emma glanced at her, her voice cold. "Suzy, do I look silly to be easily deceived?"
Suzy didn't know what to say. She walked over to sit beside her, holding her hand with a puzzled look.
"Mom, what's wrong with you? Why do I feel like you're acting strange?"
Emma broke free from her hand. Just as she was about to speak, Nora came downstairs.
"Mom."
Hearing Nora's voice, Emma's face lit up with a smile. She got up to greet her.
"All done?"
"Mm."
"Tired?"
"Not tired."
Seeing the two of them so close, Suzy's eyes widened in shock.
"Nora, what are you doing here?"
'And she was so close to Emma!
What had happened at home in the past two days while she was away!'
"This is my home. Why can't I be here?" Nora looked at Suzy, her voice cold.
Suzy sneered. "Your home? How dare an illegitimate daughter come here? Don't you have any shame!"
"Shut up, Suzy. I said, Nora is my biological daughter. If you dare speak to her disrespectfully again, don't blame me for being rude!"
Emma scolded her with a cold face.
Suzy looked at her and suddenly remembered Emma's warning before she pushed her down the stairs.
The expression she had then and the one she had now were the same.
'Could it be that Emma had regained her memory?
But she had just denied it.'
Suzy's face was full of confusion and doubt. "Mom, I don't know what's going on. But don't let Dad fool you. Nora really is just his illegitimate daughter. You used to hate her!"
