Chapter 343 Going for Autographs

"Me?" Sandy hesitated. She wanted to go but feared upsetting Kenneth.

Kenneth returned home late the previous night and didn't even enter their bedroom, spending the night in the study instead.

She knew it was likely because Kenneth was annoyed about the ointment incident.

"Go on, it's a rare occasion, not something that comes by often," Nora encouraged her, seeing her hesitation.

Sandy bit her lip and nodded, "Okay."

It was true; she’d only be alone if she went back now, which would be boring. She might as well enjoy a performance with Nora and the others.

They sat in the private room for a while, waiting until Evella Remington texted saying she was outside before they left the room.

"Mommy, if we are going to see the band play, do we have to buy those shiny, glowing sticks?" Samantha asked with youthful enthusiasm.

The shiny, glowing sticks she was referring to were probably fan props.

"Do you want one?" Nora asked.

"Yes," Samantha replied in her sweet, childlike voice.

"All right," Nora allowed. They would likely be able to buy the glow sticks at the venue.

Samantha giggled, "I also want a sparkly headband to wear on my head."

Before Nora could respond, Sandy chimed in with a laugh, "Samantha, you sure know what you want. Whatever you want later, your Aunt will get it for you."

"Nora, don't spoil her," Nora chided.

"I just want to spoil her," Sandy declared.

In the corner, Zephyr stepped out to make a call and watched the group leave, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes.

What were they talking about just now? Were they going to see a band tonight? Where would they be watching?

By chance, the large digital display in the hotel was showing information about the concert.

Zephyr looked up to see the screen showcasing the crowd with fluorescent sticks in their hands, extremely visible under the lights. He pursed his lips thoughtfully and decided to follow them.

Outside, Evella Remington instructed her driver to head back, and she joined Nora in her car.

Sandy drove her car, and the two vehicles set off towards their destination.

On the road, Sandy received a call from Emma, who was inquiring why she hadn't returned yet.

Sandy gave her an honest update.

Emma's tone was dissatisfied, reminding Sandy to remember her status and not to act as if she were still a young, unwed girl.

Sandy simply acknowledged her remarks, but thoughts of the imposing Hamilton family estate weighed heavily on her heart.

The band's concert was at a stadium in Lindwood City. The venue was brightly lit, shining as if it were daylight.

At the entrance, scalpers were hawking tickets, while vendors were yelling out, selling glow sticks, souvenirs, and snacks in a lively scene.

Nora got out of the car with the three kids.

Sandy and Evella Remington were both eagerly offering to buy various items for the children.

Nora rubbed her forehead but didn't argue with them. She took out her cell phone and texted Aaron.

Nora: [We've already arrived at the venue.]

Soon, Aaron texted back.

Aaron: [I'm on my way.]

Nora: [Okay.]

Aaron sent another message.

Aaron: [Wait for me outside.]

Before she could reply, Evella Remington had already come over to tag her along.

"Nora, let's go, we're heading in," she said, eager to see her idol perform. Nora smiled and didn't text Aaron back.

" Mommy, where's Daddy?" Samantha asked, her head adorned with a sparkling headband, eager to show off in front of Aaron.

"He's on the way; he'll be here soon," Nora replied.

"Should we wait for him?" Sandy asked.

Seeing Evella Remington was already distracted and hardly present, Nora laughed, "No worries, we'll go in first, and I'll come back out to get him later."

She didn't have the heart to make them wait when it was clear a certain young girl's heart had already flown inside.

The tickets Evella Remington had bought were front-row seats in the middle section, offering an excellent view.

When they arrived at the front row, the venue was already crowded with many spectators.

"Evella, these tickets must have been expensive, right?" Nora asked.

Evella Remington said, "They'd be okay if bought normally, around two thousand or so. But I ended up buying several tickets from a scalper, which was a bit pricy."

Originally, she thought it would just be Nora accompanying her to the show, so she had only bought two front-row tickets.

She didn't anticipate Aaron would come, and then Sandy too.

The front row tickets of the internal section were in high demand, so she had to buy the rest of the tickets from a scalper.

"How much? I'll transfer the money to you," Sandy said, pulling out her phone ready to transfer the funds.

"No need, my grandma gives me plenty of spending money," Evella Remington said casually.

Sandy thought for a moment, "Then I'll take you out to dinner next time."

Evella replied, "Sure."

Nora had also planned to transfer money to Evella Remington, but she figured Evella would refuse, so she simply let it go. Friends don't sweat the small stuff.

After sitting for a while, Evella Remington checked the time and grew a bit excited. "There's still half an hour before the show starts, Nora. I'd like to get the band member's autograph," she stated.

Nora looked around and saw quite a few security personnels patrolling. "The security here probably won't let you get close to the band member," she cautioned.

Evella Remington fidgeted with anticipation. "I've got to try this, Nora, come with me!"

Nora sighed silently. Why did it always have to be her? Please, she wasn't into the whole celebrity craze.

"You go on, sweethearts, I've got the kids," Sandy offered with a smile.

Left with no choice, Nora turned to the three little ones and instructed, "Now, you all behave, listen to your Auntie Sandy, and don't run off."

"Okay," the trio obediently responded.

Once the two were gone, Sandy softly asked the children, "Do you want some water?"

Alex and Billy shook his head while Samantha licked her lips.

"Auntie Sandy, may I have a Sprite?" she asked, having spotted that Sandy had just bought two bottles and put them in her bag. She was craving it, mostly because Nora usually didn't let her have sodas. But one of her classmates had shared a sip with her once, and she remembered how delicious it tasted.

Sandy was taken aback for a second before pulling a bottle of Sprite out of her bag. "You want some of this?" Those were meant for her consumption.

"Yeah," Samantha eagerly watched the Sprite bottle.

Sandy chuckled. "You can have two sips, okay? I don't want your Mommy to scold me."

Samantha bobbed her head in agreement. Sandy twisted open the cap of the Sprite, but it must have been shaken during the walk because as soon as she opened it, the soda fizzed up and bubbles erupted, spilling down the bottle and all over her hands and feet.

Sandy inhaled sharply and quickly said, "Alex, grab some tissues from my bag, please."

"Okay." Alex complied, rummaging through the bag but after a while he reported, "Auntie Sandy, there are no tissues in here."

With sticky hands, Sandy stood there, unsure of what to do next, until someone from behind handed her several wet wipes.

"Here," the voice offered.

Sandy, relieved, didn't bother to see who it was before accepting the wipes with a grateful, "Thank you so much." After cleaning herself up, she looked up to find that the person who had helped her was Zephyr.

What was he doing here?

Sandy's face tightened with worry as she remembered the disagreement that brewed between her and Kenneth over that ointment. Clutching the wipes a little tighter, she turned away, her face setting into a firm expression without saying a word.

Zephyr remained silent, content to watch her figure from a distance.

On the other side, Nora and Evella Remington found the backstage entrance and exit, only to see two security guards standing guard at the door.
