Chapter 1015 Don't Worry
"Hey, don't sweat it," Bishop cut Ava off. "There are medical folks here to look after me. You should focus on your stuff and not waste time on me. I'm not getting better anytime soon, but missing your classes would be a bummer."
"But how can I relax if I'm not taking care of you?" Ava protested.
"I'll be fine," Bishop assured her. "Go to your classes and get them done. You can visit me after. No need to hang around here all the time; it's just a waste of your time."
"I don't see it that way," Ava shot back. "You're not wasting my time. I just want you to get better soon."
"I'll get better whether you're here or not," Bishop insisted. "I want you to go to class and handle your stuff. Don't you want to get back home to see Sunny as soon as possible?"
Ava went quiet. His words hit home.
"If you stay here to take care of me, your classes will get delayed, and it'll be a hassle and waste a lot of time," Bishop continued. "Can you really be at ease with Sunny being with William? Even if you can, don't you miss Sunny?"
Ava's heart ached like it was being pricked by a needle.
Of course, she missed Sunny. She deeply regretted letting William take Sunny back.
If she had known, she would have kept Sunny with her no matter what. But now it was too late for regrets.
"Maybe I can go back home to get Sunny," Ava suggested.
"Do you mean you want to give up your studies?" Bishop asked.
Ava nodded.
"If you really want to go back..." Bishop started.
"What? Do you think it's not possible?" Ava interrupted.
"It's not that it's impossible, but it would be a shame to give up everything now," Bishop explained. "Besides, even if you go back, can you live with William? If you think you can, go back and find Sunny now. But if not, you two will definitely clash if you go back now."
"So, you think I should wait a bit? But what about Sunny?" Ava asked.
"Sunny will be very safe," Bishop replied.
"Why are you so sure?" Ava questioned.
"Because he loves you very much. He'd do anything to make you happy. If he hurts Sunny, he knows you two will have no chance to be together. He's not that dumb," Bishop explained.
Ava fell silent.
Seeing her soften a bit, Bishop continued, "Just go to class. You don't need to visit me often. I'll feel pressured. Maybe my injury won't heal anytime soon. Just let me take my time to recover, okay?"
Ava hesitated for a long time, then nodded. "Okay, I promise you, I'll go to class first."
Bishop smiled warmly. "That's the right call."
Meanwhile, Alexander hid the test report and headed to Madison's hospital room.
As soon as Madison saw him, she sat up in bed and asked, "Alexander, how did the test results turn out?"
Alexander walked over, sat by the bed, and habitually held Madison in his arms. "I'm fine. Don't worry."
"Really?" Madison asked.
"Of course," Alexander replied.
Madison looked at him skeptically. "Where's the report? Let me see."
"Really, it's nothing," Alexander said. "The reports are all electronic. The doctor said my stomach isn't great, so I need to watch what I eat and can't drink anymore. He prescribed me some meds."
"Really? Is that all?" Madison asked, worried Alexander was downplaying it to keep her from stressing.
