Chapter 741 Let go of me!

"Make it up to me? Hahaha."

Mia laughed bitterly. "What are you trying to fix? You think everything can be patched up? You're a joke, Dalton. I hate you! You took my son away. You wrecked my life!"

Mia stormed towards the door, her emotions boiling over.

Dalton grabbed her from behind. "I'm not letting you go, Mia!"

"Let go of me!" she screamed, struggling to break free.

"If I hadn't taken our son, your life would've been ruined!" Dalton argued.

"Shut up, Dalton! I don't want to hear your excuses!" Mia yelled, not believing a word.

Dalton pressed on, "I'm not making excuses. You were nineteen, in college, with a kid, and you refused to stay with me. Your life would've been a mess!"

He continued, "I know what I did was wrong, but I could've found some random kid to pass off as Hailey's. I didn't. I lied and took our son to the Bennett family because I wanted him to grow up in a normal environment, not as an illegitimate child!"

"I wanted you to be free to live your life without the burden of a child. Mia, I wasn't just being selfish; I was thinking of you too. Please, don't see me as a monster."

"Stop justifying yourself. I've had enough of your lies. Let me go!" Mia shouted, desperate to leave.

"Where are you going? I know I'm not perfect, but George is worse. He cheated on you while married. Are you going back to him? Why haven't you divorced him yet? Why?" Dalton demanded.

"It's none of your business. You have no right to interfere in my life. I'm not divorcing George! Even if he's trash, I won't come back to you. There are plenty of men out there. Why should I choose between you two?"

Dalton closed his eyes in pain. "I'm begging you, divorce him. If you do, I'll marry you. I'll give you everything. If I ever hurt you again, you can leave me with nothing. Mia, please, give me a chance."

Mia stood firm. "No! I'm not giving you another chance, Dalton. You've had your shot. Now, get out of my life and leave me alone."

"I will never let go! You can give George a chance, why not me? You can't be so unfair!" Dalton exclaimed.

"You don't deserve a chance from me!" Mia insisted.

"Then George shouldn't get one either! Why don't you leave him?" Dalton turned her around, agitated. "Tell me, why are you still with him? And I know you're still sleeping with him! Do you like him groveling at your feet?"

Mia stared at him, shocked. "Did you have someone spy on me?"

"Yeah, I did," Dalton laughed darkly. "I want you back. I can't let someone like George keep you. He doesn't deserve you! How can you stay with him after what he did? Why should he get to sleep with you and I can't?"

Mia suddenly realized Dalton had lost it.

She struggled harder. "Let go of me! I need to find Alexander. He's missing."
