Chapter 571 Surgery Needed

Ava gently patted his hand. "Do you trust me? Just relax now. I'm right here with you. Whatever happens, I'll be by your side. You won't be alone, so don't worry, even if it's for my sake, okay?"

Ava's gentle voice flowed into William's heart like a warm stream.

Instantly, William felt at ease and obediently nodded. "Okay, I trust you, I'll wait."

Ava smiled slightly. "William, hurry and eat. The food is getting cold."

William nodded, and they finished their dinner.

After tidying up the dining table, Ava stayed by William's side. They watched two movies in a row, chatting and laughing, creating a harmonious atmosphere until William felt sleepy and yawned.

"William, feeling tired?" Ava asked.

William nodded. "Yes, but I haven't freshened up yet."

Ava said, "Let me help you to the bathroom."

Ava went to William's bedside, helped him out of bed, and carefully walked him into the bathroom, squeezing toothpaste for him.

"William, a male caregiver will help you bathe. I'll step out for a moment," Ava said.

If William could freshen up by himself, Ava would assist him as much as possible, but she couldn't personally help him with bathing.

So, she had arranged for a professional male caregiver to be by William's side while he bathed to prevent any accidents.

She did this without much explanation, although she had a reason in mind. She planned to tell William that she had been a bit tired recently, so she had found someone else to help him.

But to her surprise, William didn't ask her anything. Without a word, he silently accepted the male caregiver's assistance, because William was afraid of tiring her out and didn't want her to do too much.

Ava felt warm in her heart. William was thoughtful, always considering her even though he had amnesia.

After William finished freshening up in the bathroom, he returned to bed.

Ava tucked him in. "William, go to sleep."

William nodded. "You should sleep early, too."

"Okay. I'll sleep once you're asleep," Ava said.

William nodded, closed his eyes, and soon drifted off to sleep. However, Ava wasn't feeling sleepy and decided to take a walk outside.

After leaving William's ward, Ava intended to get some fresh air. As she reached the hospital lobby, suddenly, a hospital bed was swiftly wheeled into position.

A woman lay on the bed, covered in blood, screaming in pain, "Ah, it hurts!"

Ava heard the voice and looked towards the person on the bed.

As the bed approached, Ava stepped aside, and at a distance, she suddenly noticed something. She stared at the woman covered in blood on the bed, and as the woman, who was originally screaming in pain, turned her head, she also saw Ava. Their eyes met, and a strong sense of familiarity instantly arose.

Suddenly, the woman shouted, "Ava, Ava!"

Upon hearing her voice, Ava could now confirm who she was.

"Wait!" The woman suddenly roared frantically, "That's my niece!"

Medical staff turned to Ava. "Are you her niece? She's severely injured and needs surgery!"
