Chapter 1029 Really Tired
Madison couldn't believe it. "You got me a healthy heart? How is that even possible?"
Eason shrugged. "Why not? You might not believe me, but if you miss this chance, it's gone for good."
He placed the medicine on the table. "I'll leave this here. Take it when you feel like it. If you really don't want to, just toss it. But remember, throwing it away means you're giving up this opportunity."
Eason let go of her hand. "It's late. Get some sleep."
Madison stared coldly at the pill in her palm. "How am I supposed to sleep now?"
Knowing Alexander was with Ava, she felt restless and filled with hatred.
Suddenly, a pocket watch appeared in front of her, swaying back and forth.
Eason's eerie voice whispered, "Sleep."
The pocket watch swayed for about ten seconds.
Madison felt dizzy and then collapsed onto the bed, falling asleep.
Eason, with a cold expression, tucked the pocket watch into his pocket and pulled the blanket over her. "Good night, Ms. Allen."
Isabella's body with Ava's face—this was going to be interesting.
Eason turned and left, a smug smile playing on his lips.
"My game characters are increasing. And now there's Vincent, who stumbled in unexpectedly. Interesting."
In the morning, soft light filled the hospital room.
Ava slowly opened her eyes, the sunlight from the window making her eyes sting a bit.
She raised her hand to block it.
Suddenly, she remembered something and turned her head to see a man lying on the sofa.
He was sound asleep, with a magazine draped over his stomach. .
Ava was about to call him, but seeing how deeply he was sleeping, she stayed quiet, lying on her side and staring at him with a sense of nostalgia.
Why would Alexander act this way?
He was already Madison's boyfriend, yet he stayed with her all night.
If Madison found out, there would be trouble.
Ava lifted the blanket and got up to go to the bathroom.
She moved quietly, trying not to wake Alexander.
But before she reached the bathroom door, Alexander's eyes snapped open at the small noise she made.
He opened his eyes and saw Ava getting up. He immediately got up from the sofa.
Alexander asked with concern, "You're awake. How are you feeling?"
Ava looked a bit haggard but much better than yesterday.
Ava replied, "I'm fine. Thank you for staying with me all night. Go have some breakfast, then go home and get some sleep."
Alexander sighed. He must not have slept well last night.
After saying that, Ava walked into the bathroom.
When Ava finished washing up and came out, she found that Alexander was gone.
She smirked. It was good that he had gone; he should have left long ago.
Ava went back to the bed and lay down again, staring blankly at the ceiling.
She felt so tired. Why did so many things have to happen?
And it had only been a year.
In the grand scheme of time, even the most significant events would eventually fade into the past.
Yet, from a personal perspective, the tangles of love and hate could be so profound and painful that they seemed to last a lifetime, never to be overcome.
Would she ever find peace in this life?
Madison woke up very early.
She felt dizzy and wanted to walk around the hospital, so she left her room.
As she walked, she found herself at the door of Ava's room.
It wasn't unintentional; she had come here on purpose.
