Chapter 50 Stop Playing Drunk

"If by 'home' you mean our home, then get in the passenger seat, and I'll drive you there. If you mean Isabella's place, then I'll have the driver take you there now. Either way, you can't drive. What if you hit someone on the road?"
"Heh," the man scoffed lightly, "So you're not worried about me, but about some stranger getting hit."
Ava frowned, "Shouldn't I be concerned about that? Drunk drivers deserve whatever happens to them, but the people they hit are innocent."
Upon hearing the word 'deserve,' the man seemed to ignite with anger. He grabbed her slender shoulder and demanded, "Deserve? Are you talking about me?"
"I'm just speaking hypothetically. You haven't drunk-driven yet, have you?" She pushed him away forcefully, "Where are you going? Tell me!"
Alexander suddenly took off his suit jacket and threw it on the ground in frustration. He opened the passenger door and sat down, apparently intending to go to their home.
Ava sighed helplessly and picked up the jacket from the ground.
She got into the driver's seat and threw his jacket on the back seat.
Ava turned to look at the man slumped in the seat and reminded him, "Fasten your seatbelt."
Seeing that the man didn't move, Ava shook her head helplessly and fastened the seatbelt for him, even though she knew Alexander wasn't so drunk that he couldn't fasten his seatbelt.
"Um..."
The back of her head was suddenly grabbed by a large hand, and the man took advantage of her leaning over to fasten his seatbelt to fiercely plant a kiss on her lips!
It was a complete surprise!
The taste of alcohol from the man's mouth filled her nostrils, making Ava feel a little dizzy. She was worried about the impact on the baby and pushed him away with all her might, "What are you doing?" She was clearly annoyed.
Alexander opened his eyes, an amused expression on his as he playfully asked, "Wasn't it you who leaned in? What do you think I was doing?"
"I was fastening your seatbelt, not trying to kiss you!"
She didn't believe that he didn't know this.
"Oh, really?" Alexander spread his hands, looking innocent, "I didn't know."
He really could say anything!
Shameless!
Ava was angry, but she had no way to vent it. After all, they were still husband and wife, and if he wanted to kiss her, she couldn't exactly call the police.
The two of them didn't speak all the entire car ride.
Ava parked the car at the front of their house.
After getting out of the car, Ava handed the keys to the butler and asked him to park the car in the garage. Then she and Alexander walked into the house.
Tonight, Ava planned to sleep in a separate room from Alexander. She walked into the room and was about to go to the wardrobe to get some clothes to change into, but with a bang, the door was closed.
Alexander pulled her over and pressed her against the door.
The smell of alcohol hit her face, and she could see the anger emanating from him.
Ava frowned, "What are you doing?"
"You told me you were going to grad school, didn't you? Lying to me again, huh? Is anything that comes out of your mouth true?!"
The man's sudden accusation left Ava a little speechless. He seemed as if he had been greatly wronged.
"Can't I change my mind?"
"Did you really change your mind, or were you just appeasing me? The things you said to me and Grandma are completely different. Did you say something else entirely to a third person?!"
Ava twisted her eyebrows, pressed against his chest, and tried hard to push him away, "Let me go; you’re drunk!"
