Chapter 845 Willingly
Mia just stood there, giving Vicky the silent treatment, her eyes locked on her.
Vicky, totally clueless about what was going on, started throwing a fit.
Back in the day, Mia would've snapped right back, but now? She was just too worn out to even bother.
Seeing Mia stay quiet, Vicky's face twisted in annoyance. "Why aren't you saying anything? Feeling guilty or something? Did I hit a nerve?"
"Ms. Bennett, you showing up here means you've done your homework on me. Do you even know why I'm with Dalton? You really think I went after him?"
"Isn't that what happened?" Vicky shot back, fuming. "You're so old, can't you have some self-respect?"
Mia let out a laugh, "Old? So, young chicks can go after Dalton, but I can't?"
"Don't twist my words," Vicky snapped. "No matter what, it's wrong of you to go after my dad. You wrecked my parents' marriage. You're a homewrecker. Seriously, I don't get it. You have a husband and a kid. Why do you still wanna be a homewrecker? You don't need the money. What are you after? A thrill?"
Mia just stood there, taking Vicky's rant in stride, not saying a word.
Vicky, seeing Mia's blank face, got even more pissed. "I get it. You're mad at William for marrying Ava, so you're doing this trashy thing out of spite, right?"
Vicky, boiling with rage, kept on cursing, "You and George are both big shots. Aren't you scared that if this gets out, you'll be too embarrassed to show your face?"
Mia finally spoke, "So, you better keep it under wraps. If George finds out, he and Dalton might end up at each other's throats."
Mia stepped closer. "Ms. Bennett, let me give you a tip. Don't jump to conclusions before you know the whole story. That's not a very smart thing to do."
"You..." Vicky, seething, raised her hand to slap her.
Mia caught her wrist, her face dead serious.
"I'm old enough to be your mom. Hitting me isn't exactly cool, is it?" Mia said, shoving her hand away.
"You..." Vicky, seeing red, "You're unbelievable. How can you do this? Don't you have any shame? Does Alexander know you're like this?"
Mia added, "Do you even know what kind of guy Dalton is? If he didn't want it, could I have seduced him?" Mia sneered, "Vicky, if you don't want me with Dalton, then go ahead, break us up. If you can pull it off, I'll be appreciated."
Vicky asked, "Are you daring me?"
"No, not daring you. Just curious if you can get Dalton to dump me. Will he even care about your feelings? I'm sick of him too."
Vicky kept going, "What’s your deal? You seduce my dad, wreck my parents' marriage, and now you're all smug about it? You're seriously messed up!"
Vicky thought to herself, 'No wonder Alexander's such a jerk; he got it from Mia. That whole family's rotten.'
Mia let out a small sigh.
She pointed to a villa in the distance, "Go there and ask the staff why I'm mixed up with Dalton, what went down the first time I showed up. Once you get the full story, see if you still think I seduced him."
Mia gave a little smile and turned to leave.
Before getting in her car, she said, "If you don't move your car, I'll just ram it. If Dalton finds out you blocked me, he won't be too thrilled."
Mia didn't feel like explaining herself. Vicky already had her mind made up, so anything she said would just bounce off. Vicky would just think she was lying.
Once Vicky figured it out on her own, she'd get it.
Mia got in her car, buckled up, started the engine, and hit the gas.
Hearing the car rev up, Vicky quickly got in her own car and moved it.
Blocking Mia wasn't gonna solve anything.
After Mia left, Vicky headed straight for Dalton's private villa.
Soon, she pulled up to the villa.
Dalton, in a good mood, was chilling in the living room with some tea. Seeing Vicky, he put down his cup. "Vicky, what brings you here?"
"Just came to see you," Vicky said with a smile, walking over.
She plopped down next to Dalton. "Dad, you seem pretty happy."
Dalton said, "Why, is it weird for me to be in a good mood?"
"Of course not! Dad, when's William coming back from abroad? I kinda miss him. It's been months. I wanna see my nephew too."
"Is that your nephew? That kid's a Mitchell," Dalton's face darkened.
Just thinking about Ava's baby being Alexander's made Dalton uneasy.
Vicky quickly said, "But Ava married William. He doesn't care about that. He'll treat the kid like his own."
"Still, he's not William's real son. The Mitchell family will figure it out eventually. They'll take the kid back."
Vicky frowned, "How can that be? Ava gave birth to him. If Ava doesn't want to..."
"What if Ava wants to give the kid back?" Dalton said, "Ava only cares about the Mitchell family. You know her marriage with William is just William being a fool for her."
