Later, Ava didn't know where Alexander had gone. She looked around but couldn't find him. She called him, but he didn't answer, and she started to worry.
At that moment, Scarlett's friend called out to her. "Ava."
Ava turned around. "Hello, Charlotte. Do you need something?"
"Yes, I do," She smiled and said, "I see you and Alexander are very happy together, so could you please come up on stage and say a few words of blessing to my granddaughter and her husband?"
"Words of blessing?" Ava smiled, "But I don't know what to say."
"It's okay, just say a few words. Can you help with this small favor?" Charlotte pleaded.
"Well..."
It was just a small favor, and she couldn't refuse directly, but she didn't know where Alexander was.
"Charlotte, Alex is currently..."
"No problem." Suddenly, a man's voice came from behind Ava. Alexander walked over.
Ava turned her head and saw that Alexander had returned. Looking closely at his eyes, it seemed like he had been crying, and there was a strong smell of alcohol on him.
"Where did you go?" Ava instinctively asked.
"I went to the restroom." He made up an excuse.
Ava didn't press further. She knew he hadn't gone to the restroom. He must have gone to drink.
He really was something. Knowing his stomach wasn't good, he still drank. Judging by the smell, he had drunk quite a bit.
But now, she was no longer Alexander's wife, and she couldn't control him too much. If she showed concern, he might misunderstand.
Suddenly, Alexander grabbed Ava and pulled her into his arms. "Ava and I will go on stage and say a few words."
Ava turned her head and looked at Alexander in shock. His actions were too swift, but she couldn't break free, so she smiled and nodded, "Yes."
Now that Alexander was back, she couldn't refuse Charlotte. After all, she was Scarlett's friend, and both she and Alexander had come because of Scarlett. They really should do this.
After agreeing with Charlotte's request, they walked up to the stage under the host's introduction. The groom and bride stood on the stage, holding hands, waiting for this distinguished couple to say words of blessing.
Alexander held Ava's hand as they went up on stage.
All eyes in the room fixated upon Alexander and Eva, the President and First Lady of SK Group. Their presence at this wedding not only signified a boon for the newlyweds, but also a blessing.
The room suddenly became very quiet. Everyone stopped talking, waiting for Ava and Alexander to speak.
However, the duo didn't speak for a long time.
The host quickly stepped forward to break the silence. "Alexander, Ava, do you have anything to say to the groom or bride?"
Ava turned her head to look at Alexander. Seeing him silent, she couldn't keep quiet any longer. She took the microphone and said, "We are very happy to attend this wedding. The groom and bride look very well-matched, and you will surely be happy together. Although you may face some difficulties, believe that you will overcome them. As long as you love each other, you can overcome anything."
A round of applause erupted from the audience. The bride snuggled affectionately into the groom's arms.
Just as Ava was about to return the microphone to the host, a hand suddenly reached out and grabbed it.
