Chapter 619 Reviewing the Information

Seeing that Ava was avoiding the question, William didn't make it difficult for her. He nodded. "Alright, then. You should get some rest."

Ava responded, "You, too."

Just as she finished speaking, William kissed her lips. Ava's eyes widened in shock, her hands hanging stiffly at her sides like stones.

Just as Ava was about to push William away, he had already let go of her.

Ava's eyes remained wide open as William raised his hand and gently tapped her nose. "What's wrong? You look like I'm taking advantage of you. I'm your husband. You wouldn't hit me, would you?"

Ava forced a smile. "No, it was just so sudden that I didn't to react."

"Did I ever give you a heads-up before kissing you in the past?"

Ava nodded. "Yes."

She didn't know how to respond.

"Alright then, next time I kiss you, I'll give you a warning. But sometimes, I like to create surprises." He wrapped his arms around her waist, clearly feeling her body stiffen with a hint of resistance. He said calmly, "Ava, even though we can't sleep together, I'll respect your wishes. But we are still a married couple and we can't have no physical contact at all. If I want to kiss you, are you going to reject me?"

William didn't pressure her; his tone was incredibly gentle and patient, but his eyes were filled with pleading and confusion.

Ava didn't know what to do either. After all, for William, they were indeed married.

"William, maybe it's because I'm pregnant, so my hormones are fluctuating, and I don't want intimate physical contact. It makes me uncomfortable. I'm sorry." She could only come up with a weak excuse.

William sighed softly and let her go. "I've heard that before. I know pregnancy is tough for women. With a big belly, emotions can be all over the place. I should be the one apologizing. I won't kiss you suddenly like that again. No matter what, let's wait until the baby is born. Everything will be fine."

Hearing what William said, Ava felt very touched. He always thought of her, whether before or after his memory loss.

Putting aside everything else, William was indeed an impeccable husband. She couldn't imagine anyone else in the world who could be more considerate to his wife than William.

She knew it was her fault for keeping truth from him. She just hoped William would regain his memory soon and realize their marriage was fake.

"Thank you, William. You're right. Everything will get better. You should get some rest; the doctor said you shouldn't stay up late."

William also said, "Yes, you should sleep early, too."

After saying that, William left Ava's room.

Ava breathed a sigh of relief. After William left, she looked down and gently touched her belly. "Baby, he's not your father, but he will be good to you."

Ava went to the bathroom to take a shower. After lying in bed, she took out her phone to continue to read the email she hadn't finished. It was a research report from a medical institution on treating amnesia.

Ava read it very carefully, not missing a single number or even a punctuation mark. The report was entirely in Spanish. Although Ava could understand it, it wasn't her native language, and the content involved very specialized fields. There were some medical terms she didn't recognize, so she had to look them up online.
