Chapter 1170 Psychological Issues

Alexander drove Madison back to her place.

After arriving downstairs, Alexander stopped the car. "Madison, go home and rest."

It was already midnight.

Madison nodded, "Okay, Alexander. You should also rest early when you get back. If you're really in pain, you can call me and talk about it. I might not be able to solve anything, but talking to me might make you feel a bit better."

Alexander responded, "I know. You go on in."

Madison opened the car door and got out. After watching Alexander leave, she turned and went upstairs.

When Madison got home, she found that Emily wasn't there, which she found strange. All the lights were on, but Emily was nowhere to be seen.

Where could she have gone at this hour?

Madison took out her phone and called Emily, but there was no answer.

Frowning, Madison sent her a text, "Emily, where did you go?"

Even though she disliked Emily, she was still her cousin, and since Emily was staying with her, she felt responsible if anything happened.

After a few minutes, Madison received a text from Emily, "Madison, I went to see a friend. I won't be back tonight. Anyway, you weren't home tonight; you were definitely with Alexander. It doesn't matter if I'm home or not."

Madison was about to reply that she was already home and not with Alexander, but she thought there was no need to explain, so she replied, "Alright, be careful and stay safe."

Madison put her phone aside.

Something didn't feel right.

What kind of decent friends did Emily have here? And meeting them in the middle of the night?

Emily had never mentioned having any friends here.

Forget it, let Emily be. She's an adult, and Madison couldn't control her.

The next day.

Ava opened her eyes and found herself in the hospital.

Her head hurt, and her chest felt tight and uncomfortable.

She turned her head and saw Bishop changing Sunny's diaper on the couch.

His movements were not skillful, even a bit clumsy, but he was careful, and Sunny was smiling, not hurt by him.

After changing the diaper, Bishop gently pinched Sunny's cheek and gave him a tender smile, "Sunny, you pooped so much."

He carried Sunny to the bathroom.

Bishop threw the dirty diaper into the bathroom trash can, cleaned Sunny's bottom, dried him off, and put on a new diaper.

Just as he came out of the bathroom, he heard Ava calling him.

"Bishop."

Bishop turned and saw Ava awake. He immediately walked over, "Ava, how are you feeling?"

Ava said softly, "I'm okay. Last night..."

Bishop quickly explained, "Last night I heard Sunny crying loudly, so I went to check and found you had an accident. I rushed you to the hospital. Now that you're awake, I'll get the doctor to check on you."

Bishop went out to find the doctor.

After a while, the attending doctor came and examined Ava.

"Ms. Anderson, how are you feeling now?"

"I feel much better."

"What did you feel before you lost consciousness?"

Ava said, "I was taking a shower when I suddenly felt a severe headache, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and weakness all over. Then I lost consciousness."

The doctor asked, "Has this happened before?"

Ava thought for a moment and shook her head, "No."

"Has anything happened recently?"

"A lot has happened, it's a long story," Ava sighed.

Seeing Ava's gloomy expression, the doctor understood something.

"Ms. Anderson, your physical condition is currently good. You need to rest more. I'll have another doctor come to evaluate your mental state later."

"Mental state?" Ava frowned slightly at these words. "Are you saying I have a mental problem?"

"That's not what I mean," the doctor explained. "A psychologist will evaluate your situation because, based on your physical examination, there are no major physiological issues. The cause of your fainting might be a chain reaction from psychological problems."

Ava was somewhat resistant.

At this moment, Bishop walked over, "Doctor, thank you. You can go now; I'll talk to her."

"Alright, call me if you need anything." The doctor left the room.
