Chapter 53 I'm Bleeding
Alexander stared at her in silence, struggling to speak. He was clearly angry, but he couldn't find a way to vent his frustration.
He was the one who said he wouldn't give her a child, so wasn't it right that she didn't want his child? But why did he feel so suffocated!
Ava wiped the tears off her face and turned around to open the door.
"Where are you going?" Alexander grabbed her wrist.
Ava forcefully shook off his hand, "You don't think I'm going to sleep with you, do you? I'm obviously going to sleep in the next room."
The notion that they were still husband and wife, as long as they weren't divorced, was no longer valid.
Their marital relationship was already in name only, so why deceive themselves? Every minute, every second with him was excruciating, even her breaths were painful.
Ava opened the door and left.
After going to the guest room, she lay on the bed, buried her head in the pillow, and started crying bitterly.
Why was she so weak? Why was she crying at this time?
She hated herself, but she couldn't control it; she was just in so much pain. Deep love inevitably led to deep pain!
Ava clutched her chest; she felt as if her entire heart was being squeezed.
This pain was gradually spreading to every cell in her body, and then her lower abdomen also started to hurt slightly.
Ava had a bad feeling. At first, she thought it was because she was too upset and was having an illusion, but soon she felt that something was wrong. She felt a warm flow gushing from below.
Ava quickly got up from the bed and rushed into the bathroom.
Soon, she ran out again, tremblingly took out her cell phone, and dialed a number.
"Hello, Amelia; I'm bleeding."
"What?" The person on the other end of the phone immediately reacted and asked anxiously, "Is it a lot?"
"Not much, but... but it's still bleeding."
"Then you should go to the hospital immediately; I'm on my way there too."
"Amelia, is there any way to alleviate it? I'm afraid I won't make it to the hospital."
Amelia quickly said, "Don't panic now and take deep breaths; the more anxious you are, the worse it will be. Don't do any strenuous exercise and especially don't run. Let someone drive you to the hospital; don't call an ambulance. It will be faster this way."
After hanging up the phone, Ava hurriedly grabbed a jacket and left the house.
She couldn't run...
Ava took deep breaths, enduring the fear. She walked to the garage and drove herself to the hospital; she didn't ask anyone to accompany her.
On the way, she gripped the steering wheel tightly as tears streamed down her face, "I'm sorry, baby. This is all Mommy's fault; Mommy shouldn't have said I don't want you; I didn't mean it."
"I'm sorry... Mommy shouldn't have said you're a tragedy; you're not a tragedy. Mommy was just angry at Daddy; I didn't mean it. You have to hold on, please!"
At this moment, her cell phone rang.
Ava thought it was Amelia. She was driving and didn't have time to look at the screen, so she just answered directly, "Amelia."
"Miss Anderson, it's me, William."
"Mr. Bennett, what can I do for you?"
William heard Ava's trembling voice. It seemed as if she was crying, so he asked worriedly, "What happened?"
"Mr. Bennett, I don't have time to talk right now; I have an emergency and need to go to the hospital. We can talk later, I'm sorry." She immediately hung up the phone and threw it to the side.
When Ava arrived at the hospital, Amelia was already waiting outside. She wasn't on duty tonight, but after receiving Ava's call, she immediately got up from bed and rushed to the hospital.
"Ava, why did you drive yourself? How are you?" She looked down to see Ava's pants covered in blood, and her face filled with horror.
She quickly helped Ava into the hospital.
