Chapter 827 Melting Her

Mia smiled, "I'm not pressured, just a bit nervous."

She'd dined with other leaders, but Brandon was different. Usually, she could read people easily, but Brandon was a mystery. His gaze made her uneasy, like he could see right through her.

Mia knew better than to think Brandon had any romantic interest, but something about his eyes felt off.

"Why are you nervous? Think I'll be tough on you or make unreasonable demands?" Brandon's voice was calm and polite.

"Mr. Smith, walking with you makes me cautious," Mia replied.

Brandon looked down for a moment, then said, "No need to be so formal or cautious. Just be yourself. I won't trouble you or force you into anything. We're just having a meal. If you're really uncomfortable, we can leave."

His words were full of grace.

Mia wasn't about to leave over a little nervousness. "Mr. Smith, thank you. It's an honor to dine with you."

Brandon responded, "Don't be so uptight. As the bank president, you're very busy. It's my honor to dine with you. I have many questions about your field."

Usually, high-ranking people were aloof. Mia rarely met someone so powerful yet gracious and humble.

Brandon, however, possessed all these qualities.

Mia smiled, "Mr. Smith, ask away. I'll tell you eveything I know."

Brandon asked, "Does it only apply to your profession? What about other matters?"

"Other matters..." Mia thought, "I'll try to answer."

"Why didn't you sleep well last night?" Brandon asked. Mia was taken aback.

"Why didn't you sleep well?" he repeated.

Mia touched her face, "I was busy. Do I look tired?"

"No, you look beautiful," Brandon said, his gaze intense.

Mia placed her hands on her knees, lifted her head, and tried to stay composed. "Mr. Smith, I..."

Just then, her phone rang. She felt relieved. Glancing at the caller ID, she frowned slightly but decided to take the call. "Excuse me, I need to take this."
