Chapter 792 It Means Nothing to Me

Seeing William's sour face, Mia knew he really couldn't stand Alexander.

Thinking about their constant fights, Mia felt stressed.

Even though they were both her kids, she couldn't expect them to get along. They grew up differently and now both loved the same woman.

William was older, and his wife was his younger brother's ex, now pregnant with his brother's  child.

This messy situation gave Mia a headache and made her anxious.

She'd never been this worried before. The grudges from the past had spilled over to the next generation.

"William," Mia began slowly.

Hearing his name, William felt a bit repulsed. "Ms. Thompson, you don't need to call me that."

"Is it really a problem? Given my age, calling you William shouldn't be offensive."

William took a deep breath and nodded. "Fine, call me whatever you want."

No matter what she called him, it wouldn't change their strange relationship.

They were practically enemies.

Mia had insulted, cursed, and even hit him. He remembered it all and wouldn't forget easily.

"Can you stop hating Alexander?"

William frowned. "What did you say?"

"I know you dislike him, but Alexander's already divorced Ava. They won't be together again. Ava won't have any contact with him. Isn't it better to keep things as they are?"

William snorted. "Do you know what you're saying?"

To William, Mia didn't seem like the type to back down. Asking another man not to hate her son was out of character.

A strong woman of like Mia wouldn't say this without a very good reason.

"Of course I know," Mia said. "Having one more enemy doesn't help you. I hope you won't go against Alexander."

"Go against him?" William said angrily. "He's the one who kept harassing Ava. Ask her if you don't believe me. He's hurt her many times. He's shameless, and now you're blaming me? Is it wrong to protect Ava? Your son caused all this! The Mitchell family wronged Ava, caused her parents' death, and now he's making her suffer again!"

When William said "your son," Mia's heart ached.

William was also her son, but she couldn't say it out loud.

"William, I know you have issues with the Mitchell family. I admit Alexander hurt Ava before. I won't defend him, but now they're divorced, and Ava won't go back to him. Since you're with Ava now, treat her well. Alexander's future has nothing to do with you. There's no need to hold a grudge."

William sneered. "Don't you find it strange? Why has your attitude towards me changed so quickly? What are you plotting?"

"Is that how you see me?" Mia felt heartbroken.

"You used to humiliate, hit, and curse me. How else am I supposed to see you?"

Mia was at a loss for words.

"I'm sorry, I was wrong before. I apologize again."

William shook his head. "No, you don't need to apologize anymore. It means nothing to me."
