Chapter 1040 Stay Away from Her
Alexander responded, "No, she just said Christina passed away."
Bishop said, "Yes, Ava resembles Christina a bit, so I treated her like Christina. Don't worry, I didn't harm her during those days. However, the red marks you saw on her neck were indeed from me."
Alexander's brow furrowed, his voice tinged with anger, "Why?"
Bishop replied, "I have nightmares when I sleep and sometimes react violently. She happened to wake me up, and I mistook her for a bad person. I'm really sorry about that."
Alexander wanted to punch him, but since Ava didn't blame him, causing trouble for Bishop now would only make Ava blame him later.
Alexander changed the subject, "I asked the doctor, and he said you're recovering quickly. You should be discharged soon."
Bishop smiled faintly, "That's good news."
Alexander asked, "After you're discharged, will you continue to stay in touch with Ava?"
"What does that have to do with you?" Bishop said, "You seem to care a lot about this. Aren't you two already divorced?"
"Even though we're divorced, I still see her as my sister. Unlike you, after all, we have eleven years of history together."
Bishop laughed, "So many years of affection, yet you managed to hurt her so deeply. That's impressive. "
"You!" Alexander clenched his fist, suppressing his anger, and continued, "I hope you stay away from Ava."
Bishop raised an eyebrow, a smile playing on his lips, "What did you say?"
Alexander replied, "You know exactly what I said."
Bishop's expression immediately turned cold, "Whether I stay close to her or not, what does that have to do with you?"
Alexander squinted and said, "You know better than anyone what kind of person you are."
As he spoke, he leaned closer to Bishop and said, "Wherever Death goes, people around him die. Do you want Ava to die too?"
Bishop's hand, hidden under the blanket, clenched into a fist, "I won't let her die. Besides, I didn't choose the codename 'Death' myself."
Alexander's voice was chilling, "Whether you chose it or not, you are Death. You say you won't let Ava die, but does the world revolve around your wishes? Otherwise, Christina wouldn't have died."
Bishop's brow gradually furrowed, "You know how Christina died?"
"Yes, I found out. I sympathize deeply. But that's not a reason for you to hurt Ava. You can't use her as a substitute to make up for your guilt over Christina. You're endangering her."
Bishop threw off the blanket and grabbed Alexander by the collar, "Alexander, what right do you have? You were the one who hurt her. Why don't you stay away from her?"
Alexander replied, "No matter how I hurt her, it was only emotionally. But you could actually get her killed. You should know how many enemies you have. In the entire Stellaria, count how many people you've crossed. And those people are all ruthless killers. Have you forgotten how Christina died?"
Bishop punched him hard and said, "You shall not mention Christina again!"
Alexander took the punch without getting angry. He wiped the blood from his mouth and stood up.
