Chapter 705 Distraught

He turned his head, his face ghostly pale. "If you don't love my mom, you wouldn't be here now, nor would you care about the kid she had."

"Alexander, you're my son. No matter what, I care about you."

"Then why were you never around when I was little ? When I needed you most, why were you always with other women?" Alexander shot back.

George was stunned.

Alexander snorted. "You're here not because you're a good dad. At best, you're just a jerk who suddenly felt guilty and wants to come back to the family."

George clenched his fists and said, "Did your mom say something to you?"

"No, she didn't say anything. She doesn't even mention you."

It felt like a bullet to George's chest.

Alexander's cold words were brutal, revealing a harsh truth.

Mia never mentioned George to her son.

In her heart, she had gone from hating George to not caring about him at all.

Even though they still saw each other, their intimate relationship was over.

He would rather Mia badmouth him to Alexander.

At least that would prove she still had feelings for him, even if it was hatred.

"Your mom hasn't forgive me yet, but I'll try. Can you help me? We're family. Wouldn't it be better if we were together? Alexander, I'll make it up to you," George pleaded.

"I won't help you. I don't need you to make it up because my mom will never forgive you. You don't deserve forgiveness. You messed up, and she'll never forgive you. One day, she'll find a better man and leave you, making you regret it deeply."

Alexander's cold words pierced George's heart.

But they also reflected the pain Alexander was going through.

He was just like his father.

Knowing it was wrong, he still did it.

But at the time, they didn't think it was wrong. Despite many voices around them warning them not to do these things, they seemed deaf to them, stubbornly doing things they now deeply regretted.

By the time they realized it, it was too late to make amends.

"If your mom doesn't forgive me, I accept it. I made a mistake, and I deeply regret it now. Alexander, can you come down first? I'm begging you. No matter what, we're here with you. You can talk to your family about anything."

George almost wanted to kneel.

"Family?" He laughed. "Yeah, I have family, but so what?"

"What about Ava?" George asked, "What does she mean to you? If you don't want to talk to us, you can talk to her. I can bring her here."

"Don't mention her to me." Alexander suddenly moved forward.

"Okay, I won't mention her!"

George was scared out of his wits. "I won't mention her. If you don't want to see her, you don't have to. It's okay."

George didn't know what had happened to make Alexander like this.

He suddenly got hurt, and after waking up, he became like this.

He looked despondent, lacking the will to live.

He didn't even pursue Ava anymore, losing that drive.

George thought, 'Could the injury from that bullet be so severe?'

'Was it Ava who fired the shot?'

'But Ava couldn't possibly do such a thing to him.'

George and Mia had discussed this. They originally wanted to ask Ava.

But the last thing Alexander said before entering the operating room was, "Don't contact Ava. Don't tell her about me, or we will cut ties."

At that time, his eyes were bleeding.

His terrifying tone and look were not just for show.

So they could only avoid Ava and not answer her calls.
