Chapter 313 Become a Fervent Follower
Ava walked in.
“Suit yourself, I’ll go change clothes.”
Mia gracefully walked towards the room.
Ava stared at her figure, mesmerized.
Her mother-in-law took excellent care of herself and had an extraordinary temperament, full of charm that young women didn’t have. She looked like in her early thirties. No one would be able to know that she and Alexander were mother and son. They looked more like siblings.
Soon, Ava heard some noise coming from the room.
“Mia, will you let me go now?”
“George, if you say a disgusting word again, I will kick you out directly. Shut up while you can still walk out by yourself.”
Ava was extremely embarrassed.
If she had known, she wouldn’t have come.
After a while, George came out of the room, dressed neatly in a stylish suit.
Ava had to admit that George had an extraordinary temperament even in middle age. He was like one of those handsome characters from idol dramas, and he was getting more and more attractive.
With such good genes, it was no wonder Alexander was handsome.
It was just a pity that looking good was one thing; being a scumbag was another.
Even if he was a scumbag, he regretted it in the end and became a fervent follower.
Ava suddenly found it funny as she thought about it.
She couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
When George passed by Ava and heard her laughter, he glanced at her and asked, “What are you laughing at? Is it funny?”
Ava quickly suppressed her laughter and said seriously, “Nothing. I just suddenly remembered that I came across a cute little cat on my way. It was cute.”
She made up an excuse on the spot.
George snorted and mouthed, “You ruined my good fortune.”
Ava lowered her head and didn’t dare to speak.
It was not until she heard George’s footsteps gradually moving away from the living room that Ava let out a sigh of relief.
At this moment, the door was opened again, and Mia walked over, who has already dressed neatly.
“What would you like to drink?”
She asked.
Ava shook her head, “No need.”
“Never mind.” Mia said, turning and heading to the open kitchen. She poured herself a cup of coffee and then carried it to the couch, sitting near Ava.
She took a sip of her coffee, then placed it on the coffee table and asked, “What can I do for you?”
“I just came to see you and talk about what happened last time,” Ava replied.
“Last time?” Mia smiled faintly. “Are you referring to me making difficulties for you purposely? Are you here to settle the score? Oh, I see. Your grandmother wants to back you up, right?”
“Ahh? No, no,” Ava quickly waved her hand and explained, “Mom, of course not. My grandmother told me that you did it on purpose, that you weren’t really make difficulties for me, you just wanted to see Alex’s reaction.”
Mia scoffed lazily, leaning back on the couch with her legs crossed. “You believe your grandmother? What if I told you that I didn’t like you and intentionally wanted to make difficulties for you? What would you do?”
Ava froze, not knowing how to answer. But she could feel that Mia wasn’t that kind of person.
Unable to answer the question, she changed the topic. “Why is Dad here? I thought you two...”
“You thought we had a bad relationship and had been separated for many years, right?”
Ava nodded. “Have you reconciled?”
“Hahaha,” Mia laughed. She picked up a pack of cigarettes from the coffee table, pulled one out, and lit it. It was clear that she smoked frequently.
