Chapter 1236 He Hit Her
Madison felt a surge of intense anger, but he forcibly suppressed it. "I know you're trying to provoke me, but it won't work."
"Of course it won't work," Isabella said. "I didn't expect it to, and it seems you're better at planning ahead than I am."
Isabella suddenly took a step closer to her. "But I must remind you, Alexander must never find out about this. What if he leaves you at the wedding to save Ava?"
Madison's face turned pale. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't know?" Madison said with a smile. "Wasn't it you who just made the call? Aren't you planning to kidnap Ava?"
"I don't understand what you're saying. I didn't kidnap Ava. You must have misheard."
Madison naturally wouldn't admit to such a thing.
"Alright, then let me believe I misheard," Isabella said. "But you should know, I don't like Ava either, so even if I did mishear, I won't say anything. Just make sure you do it cleanly."
After saying this, Isabella left the restroom with her bag.
Madison's legs went weak, and she leaned on the sink, gasping for breath. Cold sweat rolled down her forehead.
After leaving the hospital, Isabella took out her phone and called Alexander.
On the other end, Alexander answered.
"Alexander, it's me."
"Isabella, what's up?"
"I just ran into Madison at the hospital. She said you two are getting married. Is that true?"
Alexander replied, "Yes, it's true. She's pregnant."
Isabella's heart skipped a beat.
Madison was pregnant. Alexander had been with her. It was infuriating.
What right did Madison have?
Suppressing her anger, Isabella said, "So that's how it is. It seems you like Madison, enough to have a child with her."
Alexander said, "You're doing well now. Don't dwell on the past."
"Alexander," Isabella said, "I'm not here to question you or dwell on the past. I just wanted to congratulate you. By the way, when is the wedding? Can I attend?"
Alexander was silent for a few seconds and then said, "Sure, you can come. I'll send you the address."
"Alright, Alexander. Honestly, I will wish you well."
After the brief call, Isabella hung up.
She clenched her fist and slammed it against the steering wheel. "This is infuriating."
Soon, a smile appeared on Isabella's lips.
"Madison, you want to marry Alexander and have a shotgun wedding? Not a chance!"
Isabella wouldn't let either Ava or Madison off easily. Once the two women were at each other's throats, she would sit back and reap the benefits.
Suddenly, the passenger door opened, and a man got into the car.
Isabella was startled. Eason gave her a cold glance. "It's me."
Isabella breathed a sigh of relief. "Why didn't you make a sound?"
"You just met with Madison."
"Yes, I ran into her in the restroom."
"What did she say to you?" Eason asked.
Isabella smiled. "Nothing much, just that she and Alexander are getting married. She was quite smug about it."
"And what else? What else did she say?" Eason pressed.
"Nothing else."
Madison wanting to get rid of Ava was naturally a good thing for Isabella, so she wouldn't spread it around.
Suddenly, Eason slapped Isabella hard across the face.
Isabella screamed and clutched her face in shock. "Why did you hit me?"
"Why did I hit you?" Eason grabbed her face. "I hate being lied to the most. Do you think I don't know what Madison said to you?"
