At this moment, William walked over. "Ava, Uncle, what are you talking about?"
William sat beside Ava, putting his arm around her shoulder. "What are you discussing?"
"We're just chatting casually," Ava replied with a smile.
William didn't press further and said, "Ava, can we go out this afternoon? It feels like we haven't been out for a while. The doctor said I could go out for a bit."
Ava nodded. "Of course, where do you want to go? I can take you."
"Anywhere is fine," William said, "As long as you're with me, I'm happy to go anywhere."
"Alright, we'll go out after lunch," Ava said, looking at Brandon, "Brandon, what do you want for lunch?"
Brandon glanced at William and smiled faintly. "No, I have a dinner engagement. I'll join you next time. You two can go to a restaurant for lunch."
With that, Brandon stood up. "I'll be leaving now."
Ava stood up as well. "Brandon, let me see you out."
Brandon was about to decline but then thought of something and nodded. "Alright."
William was about to follow, but Brandon gave Ava a look.
Ava understood immediately and turned to William. "William, you stay here. I'll see Brandon out. Wait for me."
William nodded obediently. "Okay."
Ava escorted Brandon outside.
"Brandon, do you have something to say to me?" Ava sensed that Brandon's look earlier indicated he had something to say and wanted to avoid William being present.
Brandon nodded. "Yes, I have a question for you."
"What question?" Ava asked.
"This question might be a bit private. I hope you don't mind."
Ava was puzzled."The question is..."
"Have you and William ever had a sexual relationship?"
Brandon's question stunned Ava, making her feel a bit awkward. "Why are you asking this all of a sudden?"
"Ava, don't misunderstand. The reason I'm asking is different from what you think. I just..." Brandon suddenly didn't know how to respond.
"Of course not," Ava said, "William and I have never had a sexual relationship."
Brandon seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and explained, "Ava, I didn't mean to insult you. The reason I asked is something I can't explain right now, but one day, you'll understand."
Ava was puzzled. "What is it? Why can't you explain it now?"
"Well..." Brandon thought for a moment and said, "Ava, I really want to tell you, but you'll have to wait. In the meantime, I hope you and William don't have a sexual relationship."
