Chapter 1046 We're Going Home
The two people dining did not notice that not far from them, Madison was staring at them, covering her mouth and crying in pain, her eyes filled with sorrow and anger.
Behind Madison stood Eason, who whispered in her ear, "I wasn't lying to you. Your Alexander has been meeting with Ava all these three months."
Madison couldn't believe what she was seeing. This man had told her that while she was bedridden for the past three months, Alexander had been meeting with Ava.
She didn't want to believe Alexander was that kind of person, but seeing it with her own eyes was a huge shock.
"What now? He looks like he's trying to win Ava back."
Eason said this on purpose, making every word sound particularly harsh to Madison.
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and rushed towards Alexander.
Eason didn't stop her but stood there with his hands in his pockets, a smug smile on his face.
Alexander said, "Ava, you just said you could stay with me through the surgery, so..."
"Alexander." Madison's voice suddenly came through.
Ava and Alexander turned and saw Madison, their faces showing varying degrees of surprise.
"Madison." Alexander stood up, "What are you doing here?"
Madison clutched her heart, tears streaming down her face.
"Alexander, you kept telling me you were busy, but this is what you were busy with. If I hadn't followed you and seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed you could do this to me."
Ava put down her knife and fork, losing her appetite.
Madison asked, "Mrs. Bennett, is it appropriate for you and Alexander to be dining here? Does your husband know?"
Ava said nothing, picked up her bag, and stood up.
Ava said, "Sorry, I have to go."
Ava turned to leave.
Alexander grabbed her arm, "Wait a minute."
Ava turned, gave him a cold look, and then shook off his hand.
"Take care of Ms. Allen; she's your woman."
With that, Ava left without looking back.
"Ava." Alexander wanted to chase after her, but Madison suddenly collapsed.
Alexander immediately caught her.
Madison clutched her heart, "Alexander, how could you do this?"
Alexander replied, "Madison, it's just a meal. There's nothing between us."
Madison asked, "Really? How many meals have you had with her these past few months?"
Alexander was momentarily speechless.
"Can't say anything?" Madison cried, "So many times, you told me you had something to do. Turns out it was this."
Madison exclaimed, "Alexander, while I was bedridden after surgery, you did this. You made me feel betrayed. I'm in so much pain. Why did you do this to me? "
Alexander couldn't explain.
He said, "Madison, let's go home."
Madison wiped the tears from her face. "Okay, Alexander, let's go home."
She didn't want to make a scene here, after all, there were other people around.
If she caused a scene here, Alexander would definitely have an issue with her.
Alexander took Madison to the door and saw Ava driving away.
He watched her leave.
Finally, he helped Madison into the car.
The meal between Alexander and Ava ended just as it began.
