Chapter 467 Before the Incident

Eason asked in confusion, "Why would you say that? Did you guys have a quarrel before the incident happened?"

Ava sighed, "Sort of. If only we were calm and rational at that time. The feeling that William's accident is my responsibility is growing on me."

"Don't blame yourself." Eason squatted down. "How could it be your fault? In situations like this, all we can say is that the person who harmed him is truly despicable."

Ava expressed despondently, "Yet within me, sorrow lingers. If granted another opportunity, I would staunchly impede his departure whatever it took."

Eason gently patted Ava's shoulder to comfort her. "Don't be too hard on yourself. Some things are beyond your control, and you wouldn't want it this way."

Ava was truly a simple-minded girl.

He had targeted William a long time ago. Even if there were no one named Ava in this world, William would still have had this accident, as his organs were in such good condition.

However, regrettably, he missed his chance.

He thought William would die on the spot once he was taken to the hospital.

He had calculated the timing, but he didn't expect William to hold on so well, making it difficult for Ava to make a decision.

For the first time in his life, he miscalculated.

Every time he wanted someone to die at a certain time, that person would die at that exact time, without any error.

William annoyed him.

Ava held William's hand tightly, pressing it against her face. "If William is gone, I will never forgive myself for the rest of my life."

Eason found it strange. Weren't they in a fake marriage? Thy were just friends. Why did she care so much? She even took Alexander to the police station for William.

Why was it different from what he thought?

Shouldn't she be blindly in love with Alexander?

He felt even more annoyed.

Human emotions were truly complicated and disgusting.

Being cold and heartless was the best.

However, he didn't like seeing Ava care so much about others, which made him unhappy.

However, witnessing her profound sadness left him equally disheartened.

He adored her. She was so beautiful. It would be a pity if she was sad for the rest of her life.

Ten minutes later, Eason emerged from the ward.
Ava expressed a desire to keep William company alone.

Through the glass window, Eason stared at Ava and William in the hospital room, sighing.

So annoying! Her sadness made him feel upset.

The time went back to before William's accident.

In the bar, Eason whispered in William's ear, "Actually, it's not difficult to get a woman you want. You just need to... die."

William frowned and coldly looked at the man next to him who was smiling cunningly.

Then, William stood up, straightened his suit, and sneered, "I see, you are just a lonely and pitiful psychopath, instigating others everywhere, stirring up the darkest side of their hearts. I won't approve of your tactics. What I want will be achieved through my efforts."

Truly powerful people couldn't be manipulated by others.

William took out some banknotes from his wallet and placed them on the bar counter, then left the bar.

A lonely and pitiful psychopath?

Eason clenched his glass tightly, laughing fiercely!

William described him so accurately!

As he pushed open the door of the bar, William noticed someone following him. He ignored it and continued walking forward.

"Do you truly believe that sheer effort can yield everything? I never thought you to be so naive." A voice chimed in.
It was the same man as before.

William halted and turned around. "Otherwise, what should I believe? Your gibberish?"

"Am I wrong? Women are all the same."

"The woman I care about is not like what you said. You don't understand at all. She must be eager to see me now. I'm going to find her, bring her home, and all the problems will be solved."

"How do you plan to solve it? Continue to treat her well, then watch her fall in love with someone else right in front of you?"

William sarcastically said, "No matter how to solve it, I won't listen to the instigation of a stranger in a bar, to torment the woman I love. I am not a reckless extremist, nor a brianless fool. You can't control me."
