Chapter 973 I Used You
Madison loved how strong Alexander was. Being around him made her feel safe.
He was like a star, so bright and out of reach, her one and only leading man.
Slowly, Madison closed her eyes, almost drifting off to sleep.
Alexander held her for a bit, his eyes heavy with something. He sighed, looking worn out, like life had just drained him.
How did things end up like this?
Alexander gently let go of her. Just as he was about to get out of bed, Madison woke up and grabbed his arm.
"Alexander, where are you going? Are you leaving again? Are you going to leave me?"
"Madison, I'm not leaving."
"You are, aren't you?" Madison cried, "I knew I couldn't sleep. As soon as I sleep, you're gone. Alexander, I won't sleep. Let me look at you a little longer, okay?"
"Madison, I'm just going to take a shower. So much has happened these past few days, I haven't had a chance to clean up."
"A shower?" Madison laughed. "I'm sorry, I thought you were leaving. I'm sorry."
Madison let go of him. "Go take your shower. I won't stop you. I'm sorry, Alexander."
Alexander gently patted her head and then got up.
He didn't head to the bathroom right away but squatted down to pick up the medicine on the floor and put it back in the bottle.
"Madison, your medicine got dirty. Tomorrow, I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up and get you some new meds."
These meds were from back home. If they needed more in Stellaria, they'd have to reassess her condition and get a new prescription.
"Alexander, I'm sorry for causing you trouble." Madison's face was pale.
"It's no trouble at all. Don't say that. You rest first, and I'll go take a shower." Alexander set the medicine aside and walked into the bathroom.
Madison lay on the bed, silently staring at the bathroom door, waiting for him to come out.
Her eyes were full of love for Alexander.
Half an hour later, Alexander finished his shower, dried his hair, and came out in pajamas.
"Alexander, you're done." Madison immediately lifted the blanket beside her. "Come here."
"Madison, you sleep first. I'll sleep in the next room." Saying this, Alexander walked towards the door.
Madison immediately sat up. "Alexander, what's wrong? Don't you want to sleep with me anymore?"
They used to sleep together.
"Madison, I'm sorry about what happened before. It was my fault. We can't let that happen again."
"Alexander, what do you mean by that?"
Seeing Alexander's evasive eyes, it was like they had done something wrong.
But it was all normal.
"Alexander, didn't you say we were boyfriend and girlfriend? You even told Ava I was pregnant with your child. Why are you regretting it now?"
"I told Ava that to deceive her. Madison, I'm sorry, I used you."
