Chapter 1252 Volunteering
Sunny waved his little hand, giggling.
"Daddy." He jumped into Alexander's arms, laughing happily.
Alexander felt a surge of emotion in his heart. He raised his hand and gently patted the child's back, "Sunny, I told you before, call me Uncle Alexander."
"Daddy, Daddy."
Alexander's nose tingled, and two hot tears fell uncontrollably.
"Why don't you listen? I..."
He wanted to say he wasn't his daddy, but hearing Sunny call him that, Alexander selfishly wanted to be his daddy for a moment.
"Sunny." Ava walked over with medicine and water. "Why are you lying on him?"
Alexander immediately closed his eyes upon hearing her voice, pretending to still be unconscious.
Ava came over, picked Sunny up from him, and placed him aside, "Don't lie on him, he's sick."
Ava helped Alexander sit up, put the medicine in his mouth, and gave him a sip of water to swallow the fever reducer.
Then, she folded a towel and placed it on his forehead.
Sunny yawned and collapsed onto the bed, looking sleepy.
Ava walked to the other side of the bed, adjusted Sunny's position, and covered him with a blanket. "You can sleep with him tonight."
Sunny mumbled with his little mouth and slowly closed his eyes.
Ava stood by the bed, looking at the big and small figures, and suddenly felt a pang of sadness in her heart.
The next day.
Alexander opened his eyes and saw Ava changing Sunny's diaper beside him.
Seeing him awake, Ava instinctively showed a faint smile.
"You're awake. I'll take your temperature later to see if the fever has gone down."
After quickly changing Sunny's diaper, Ava opened a drawer, took out a disposable thermometer, and put it in Alexander's mouth.
"Hold it, I'll come back for it later. I need to make Sunny's milk."
Ava then turned and left the room.
With the thermometer in his mouth, Alexander turned his head to look at Sunny beside him.
Sunny smiled at him, his eyes exceptionally bright.
"Daddy."
"Sunny." Alexander opened his mouth to speak, and the thermometer fell onto the bed. Worried that Ava would notice, he quickly picked it up and put it back in his mouth, then gently touched Sunny's face with his fingers, showing a gratified smile.
After a while, Ava came back into the room with the milk.
She walked over to Alexander, took the thermometer out of his mouth, and checked the temperature.
"Your fever is gone."
She placed the thermometer aside and then prepared to feed Sunny.
"Let me do it." Alexander volunteered.
Ava said, "It's okay, I can do it myself."
"Daddy." Sunny called Alexander again.
Ava felt a bit awkward but didn't stop him. After all, she had secretly told Sunny last night that Alexander was his daddy.
It seemed Sunny remembered.
"Ava, this kid calls everyone daddy, don't take it to heart."
Alexander comforted Ava.
Ava smiled and didn't say anything. She changed her mind and placed Sunny in his arms, "Then you feed him, I'll go prepare breakfast."
"Okay." Alexander nodded.
He happily held Sunny in his arms and fed him.
After Ava left the room, she came back a while later with some clothes in her hands.
"Alexander, you should take a hot shower later. These clothes are Bishop's, they're clean. You two are about the same size, so they should fit you well."
