Chapter 737 Can't Be Separated
Mia saw Dalton and her face twisted with anger.
She straightened her clothes and snapped, "You're all the same. Dalton, do you even know what your son did? He tried to kill Ava, wanted her to die on the operating table."
Dalton couldn't believe it. 'I know William. There's no way he'd want to kill Ava,' he thought.
He noticed the slap mark on William's face and knew Mia must've hit him.
"This has to be a misunderstanding," Dalton said. "Can't you two just talk it out? There's no need for violence. Mia, William's just a kid. Why make things so hard for him?"
"A kid?" Mia scoffed. "He's just a bastard!"
Dalton's anger flared at her harsh words.
From their argument earlier, he could tell she'd said some pretty nasty things to William.
He stepped forward and grabbed her arm. "Mia, take back what you just said and apologize to him."
Mia snorted and sneered, "You want me to apologize to your son? Not a chance!"
Dalton held back his rage. "Mia, I'm giving you a chance. Apologize now, or you'll regret it."
Mia yanked her arm free and shouted, "Regret? The only thing I regret is not stopping Ava from getting involved with your son. None of you are any good. Dalton, you're a terrible father."
William clenched his fists, glaring at Mia with a mix of anger and sadness.
He wasn't just mad; there was something else he couldn't quite describe.
"You..." Dalton raised his hand to hit her but stopped mid-air.
Mia raised her head and sneered, "What, are you both going to hit me? Go ahead, do it. After all, I hit William. Go ahead, hit me back!"
Dalton angrily withdrew his hand. "I won't hit you, Mia. But you will regret what you did today."
Mia laughed. "And what about your son? What if his actions end up killing Ava?"
"Then I'll pay with my life!" William shouted.
He couldn't hold back any longer. "I'm saying it right now, if Ava dies on the operating table, I'll die with her. I'll pay with my life!"
He thought silently, 'The moment I made that decision, I was already prepared for this outcome.
'If I choose to terminate Ava's pregnancy, then when Ava wakes up, she will be in unbearable pain, unable to live on, and she will definitely hate me. She won't stay with me.'
'In that case, my life will have no meaning.'
'But if my decision causes both Ava and her child to die, I will also choose to commit suicide.'
He added in his thoughts, 'I'm gambling, gambling that God won't be so cruel to me, gambling that Ava and her child will be safe.'
'If I win the gamble, it will be the best outcome for me. We will all live well and we will be together as a family forever. Since I have kept my promise to Ava, she will definitely trust me even more.'
'I don't know what the future holds, but no matter what, I won't be separated from Ava.'
'No one can tear us apart, or I will kill them!'
