Chapter 1242 Very Confused

Mandy's strange behavior left Ava completely confused.

What exactly is this woman here for?

"Wait a minute," Ava called out to her.

Mandy turned her head. "Is there something else?"

"About Bishop, what exactly do you plan to do with him?"

"You mean that man," Mandy said nonchalantly, "Do you want me to let him go?"

"Of course," Ava said, "Don't forget, you guys started it first."

"No problem, I'll pretend this never happened and won't bother him. Does that satisfy you?"

Ava was getting more and more confused, "What exactly is your purpose? Why are you..."

"What's wrong?" Mandy laughed, "Do you think it would be normal if I held a grudge over this?"

From Mandy's perspective, it would indeed be normal to hold a grudge, but Ava naturally didn't want her to. That was her goal.

Now that her goal was achieved, Ava still couldn't understand what Mandy was up to.

"Don't worry, I will do what I say. I won't waste my energy on that man."

When Mandy reached the door and her hand touched the doorknob, she suddenly turned her head and said, "Ms. Anderson, maybe we can have a meal together sometime to get to know each other better. It seems we have some misunderstandings."

Ava found it amusing, "Why should we get to know each other?"

"Like I said, you were married to my grandson after all."

"But I'm divorced from him," Ava added.

Mandy glanced at her, then said nothing more and walked out the door.

When she reached the elevator, she saw Eason holding Sunny and walking back.

Seeing Sunny in Eason's arms, Mandy's gaze softened a bit.

"Can I hold the child for a moment?" Mandy asked.

Eason looked wary and took a step back, "No."

Mandy suppressed her annoyance and forced a smile, "Fine, I won't hold him then."

She looked Eason up and down, "You're not very old, are you? What are you doing by Ava's side?"

"None of your business. I don't even know you," Eason said, walking away with Sunny.

Mandy watched their backs and sighed lightly.

Then, she walked into the elevator.

When Eason got home, he immediately asked, "Ava, what did that woman say to you? She looks fierce, not like a good person."

"Nothing, don't worry, I'm fine. I'll continue cooking, you play with Sunny for a while."

With that, Ava walked into the kitchen.

Thinking of Mandy's words, Ava took out her phone from her pocket and sent a text message to Bishop.

[Bishop, Mandy told me herself that she won't hold a grudge over that matter. But to be safe, wait a few more days. If she's waiting for you to come back, that wouldn't be good. I'll let you know when I'm sure you're safe to return.]

Ding, the phone rang.

Bishop replied, "Okay."

In the afternoon, Eason left because he received a call and had something to handle.

Ava saw him to the door.

"A, I'm sorry, I have to go handle something urgent. If anything happens, call me immediately and I'll come back right away. Don't worry about me."

Ava said, "I'm at home now, nothing will happen. Go take care of your business."

After Eason left, Ava immediately locked the door.

She glanced at Sunny playing with Transformers on the carpet, thought for a moment, and then took out her phone to dial a number.

"Hello, is this the security company?"
