Chapter 1125 Sharing a Room
After Sunny was taken away by the butler for care, Alexander and Ava each went to have dinner.
Scarlett observed their dining behavior and felt that they seemed very distant.
Scarlett always felt that the two of them seemed very distant.
But they were clearly married and even had a child. Scarlett didn't understand what had happened. She always felt like she had forgotten something important but couldn't remember what it was.
Alexander noticed Scarlett's gaze and immediately said to Ava, "Eat more, it seems like you've lost weight recently."
His eyes were very gentle, and his tone was full of affection, not faked.
He actually hoped Scarlett would urge him a few more times so that he would have an excuse to get closer to her.
To make Scarlett happy, Ava also responded to Alexander.
"Alexander, you should eat more too."
The "couple" showed concern for each other, and Scarlett was so happy she couldn't stop smiling.
"Yes, that's how it should be. A couple should care for each other."
Madison tightly gripped her utensils, her fingers trembling.
Emily, sitting nearby, didn't dare to say much either. She usually only dared to curse people online, not in real life.
"You two girls can eat whatever you want," Scarlett said gently. "Don't be shy."
Madison immediately smiled and said, "Okay."
Dinner was relatively peaceful.
Afterward, Ava sat in the living room chatting with Scarlett. The two of them talked about everything, while Alexander sat nearby peeling fruit for them, silently.
How long had it been since they experienced such simple happiness?
If he hadn't foolishly asked Ava for a divorce, they would still be the most loving couple.
Unknowingly, it had gotten very late, and it was time to rest.
Scarlett was also a bit tired and yawned several times.
"Grandma, are you sleepy? Let me take you to your room to rest. Go to bed early."
Scarlett, exhausted, said, "Yes, I am tired. You two should go to bed early too."
"Okay, Grandma."
Ava and Alexander helped Scarlett back to her room.
"Alright, you two should wash up and go to bed. The butler has prepared your room, it's right next to mine. Go on in."
Ava and Alexander exchanged a glance, both feeling a bit awkward.
They were already divorced and naturally couldn't sleep in the same room. But now they had to keep up the pretense for Scarlett. If they slept in separate rooms, Scarlett would definitely get suspicious.
Neither of them said much and went along with Scarlett's wishes. After she went to bed, Ava and Alexander left.
Once outside, Ava said, "You take this room, I'll sleep in another room. We'll get up early tomorrow before Grandma does."
Just then, the butler came over and said, "You two had better sleep in the same room. Mrs. Mitchell sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night and wanders around the house. It wouldn't look good if she saw you."
"Ava," Alexander said, "let's just sleep in the same room. I can sleep on the couch."
