Chapter 1114 Meeting Ava
Madison was shocked, "Grandma, don't you recognize me? I'm Ava."
"Ava?" Scarlett stepped forward and gave her a once-over. "No, you're not. Do you think I'm old and my eyesight is failing?"
Emily also ran over, "What's going on here? Why all the commotion?"
"Grandma," Alexander explained, "she hasn't finished speaking. She means she's Ava's friend."
As Alexander spoke, he gave Madison a meaningful look.
Madison immediately understood. Scarlett must be confused again, so she quickly said, "Grandma, I'm Ava's friend. Ava asked me to come."
"Ava asked you to come? Then where is Ava? You all say that, but she's not here."
Alexander took out his phone to call again, planning to try a few more times. Just then, the phone rang, and the caller ID showed it was Ava.
Alexander immediately told Scarlett, "Grandma, look, Ava is calling. I'll answer it now."
Alexander quickly answered the phone, "Ava."
"What's up? I was in the bathroom and didn't hear the phone."
"Grandma wants to see you," Alexander said. "Can you come over now? I can pick you up."
"Grandma wants to see me? But doesn't she think Madison is me? If I go there, she won't recognize me."
"Ava, is that you? Give me the phone, I want to talk to her," Scarlett quickly reached out her hand.
Alexander told Ava, "Grandma wants to talk to you now. I'm giving her the phone."
With that, Alexander handed the phone to Scarlett.
Scarlett quickly spoke into the phone, "Ava, is that you?"
"Grandma, it's me."
"It really is you." Scarlett recognized her voice.
"Grandma, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"It's good that it's you. Where have you been? Why can't I see you? There are two of your friends here." Scarlett lowered her voice and covered the phone, "They're both girls. You're not here, and they're just with Alexander. This isn't good."
"Two girls?" Ava was puzzled. "Grandma, are there two girls with you?"
There should only be Madison. Who's the other girl? Could it be Mia came back?
"Yes. Alexander said they're both your friends, but why aren't you here?"
The more Ava listened, the more confused she became. Before she could say anything, Scarlett quickly said, "Where are you? Come back soon. I haven't seen you in a long time."
"Grandma, you want to see me now?"
"Of course, I want to see you. Come back soon. It's not good for Alexander to be with other women. Let me tell you," Scarlett's voice lowered, "I see one of the girls looking at Alexander in a way that doesn't seem right. She doesn't seem like a decent person. You need to come back and keep an eye on Alexander."
"Grandma," Alexander frowned, trying to stop her, but it was too late. Madison had already heard.
Her face looked a bit unpleasant.
Alexander gave her an apologetic look and whispered, "Sorry, my grandma is a bit confused and doesn't know what she's saying."
Madison awkwardly smiled, "It's okay, I understand."
Her understanding demeanor left no room for criticism.
Scarlett unhappily glared at them, still on the phone, and walked over to stand between Alexander and Madison. "Alright, come back soon. I'll be waiting for you."
