Chapter 717 Hates Me so Much
As soon as Ava saw Vicky, she let out a sigh of relief. 'Finally, someone who can give me some peace of mind.'
"It's a long story," she said, shaking her head.
Vicky looked like she had an epiphany. "I can kind of tell."
Ava walked up to Vicky. "I want to go for a walk."
"No problem, I'll go with you. I'll get a wheelchair, just wait a moment," Vicky replied immediately.
"It's okay, I don't need a wheelchair."
"You do," Vicky insisted. "You're having surgery tomorrow. You can't overexert yourself. Sit in the wheelchair, and I'll push you. After all, you are carrying a baby."
Ava nodded. "Alright then."
"I'll go with you." William offered.
"Ava, I'll go with you." Eason also volunteered.
"No need, you two just stay here and rest," Ava said.
Soon, Vicky brought over a wheelchair.
Before leaving, Ava told the nurse, "Keep an eye on them. They are to stay in bed until I get back. If anyone tries to get up, let me know. Don't let them bribe you. Remember, whatever they offer, I'll double it."
The nurse nodded. "Understood, I'll make sure to watch them closely."
Before leaving, Ava said, "You two are such good actors, just stay here. If you dare get out of bed, I won't talk to you anymore. I mean it."
They nodded fearfully.
Vicky was stunned. She didn't know this man named Eason, but seeing William being so obedient to Ava was impressive.
Vicky pushed the wheelchair and took Ava to the small park inside the hospital. The sky was gradually darkening, and the sunlight on the horizon was fading away.
They came to the pond. Ava breathed in the fresh air, feeling much more relaxed. The hospital room had felt so stifling.
Vicky took out a jacket and draped it over Ava's legs. "Ava, did my brother and Eason make you angry?"
Ava smiled helplessly. "I wasn't really angry. It's just that they're so childish, competing for attention, pretending to have headaches and biting their tongues. They're like kids, so I made them lie down together to teach them a lesson."
Vicky laughed out loud. "I can't believe my brother is so childish. He was never like this before."
"Yeah, maybe it's because he lost his memory."
"You should teach them a lesson. Don't spoil them too much," Vicky said.
"Actually, I wasn't that mad. If it were before, I might have found it amusing. But now, my mind is a mess. I was supposed to visit Alexander today, but I couldn't go," Ava sighed.
Vicky squatted down. "After your surgery, once you're better, you can go see him. There's no rush."
"But I still want to hear his voice, but I can't reach him on his phone. He must hate me so much."
Seeing Ava so downcast, Vicky felt bad too. She comforted, "Don't say that. This isn't your fault. Don't blame yourself."
"Whether it's my fault or not, things have turned out this way," Ava sighed softly. "I don't know what to do now."
"You said you were going to see him today, why didn't you go?" Vicky asked.
