Chapter 677 Where is Alexander?
William drove to the place mentioned by the masked man, and as expected, there was a house.
He immediately got out of the car and rushed into the house, seeing Ava tied to a pillar, crying.
Hearing the footsteps, she immediately lifted her head. William rushed over to her.
"Ava!" He ran up and cupped her face. "Ava, I finally found you. Are you hurt?"
He brushed aside her hair and saw a scrape on her forehead, which made him angry, and sad.
Ava seemed a bit dazed. She glanced behind him and immediately asked, "Where's Alexander? Where is he?"
The masked man had shown her a video, and in the video, she saw William and Alexander coming together.
Hearing Ava's immediate concern for Alexander, William felt a strong sense of displeasure. He quickly untied the ropes on Ava.
Ava's legs were incredibly weak, and she collapsed backward, exhausted.
William quickly caught her. "Ava, I'm taking you home. I'll protect you. I won't let anything happen to you again."
He picked Ava up in his arms, ready to take her away.
Ava persisted, "William, tell me, where is Alexander now?"
The masked man had forced her to choose. She had no choice; she had to pick one, or they would both die. She didn't want either of them to get hurt.
No matter who she chose, it was painful.
"He's fine. He's already back," William said with a cold expression.
He had also risked his life to come and save her, yet all she cared about was Alexander.
If that bullet had hit him, would she still be asking about Alexander?
William told himself not to be angry. Ava had chose him at the critical moment, which meant she was more important to her.
Alexander must be dead now and was no longer a threat.
"He's fine, really?" Ava found it hard to believe.
William responded, "He's really okay. I'm taking you home."
Ava seemed to capture a flicker of evasion in William's eyes. She grabbed his collar, asking, "William, tell me the truth. What happened to Alexander? That man forced me to choose. I chose you. Alexander must have been hurt. How could he possibly be okay?"
"He's okay, Ava. Stop asking. I'm taking you back. It's not safe here."
"No!"
Ava began to struggle fiercely. She had a strong sense of unease, and her chest hurt.
"William, tell me where Alexander is. How is he now? Don't hide it from me!"
William almost stumbled. Fearing that Ava might fall from his arms, he quickly set her down and held her tightly. "Ava, don't do this. Calm down. Your safety is the most important thing right now."
The more she worried about Alexander, the angrier William became. Her tenderness towards him seemed to vanish at this moment!
"How can I calm down? William, I'm begging you, tell me how Alexander is. I don't believe he's okay. I need to contact him! Where's your phone? Let me use your phone!"
Ava tried to take his phone from his pocket, but found it empty.
William said, "I didn't bring my phone. I was worried the kidnapper would harm you, so I didn't bring any communication devices. I came alone."
On the way, he had destroyed his phone because he had seized and destroyed Alexander's. For safety, he had also thrown away his own phone. Otherwise, when people found Alexander's body without a phone, they would suspect him.
