Chapter 1147 Sleepless Night
The sky was just beginning to lighten.
Ava slowly opened her eyes, feeling a bit dizzy.
She turned to look at the time; it was 6:30 in the morning.
Suddenly remembering something, she immediately sat up in bed, rubbed her eyes, and then threw off the covers to get out of bed.
In the living room, she saw Sunny lying on the couch, waving his little hands in the air. She quickly walked over, "Sunny."
Just then, Alexander walked out of the kitchen.
"Ava, you're awake."
Ava looked up and saw Alexander wearing an apron, "You, you didn't leave all night?"
"Sunny didn't sleep, so I stayed here. He only slept for a bit just before dawn, and it looks like he's awake again now."
"Why didn't you wake me up?" She hadn't expected him to stay all night.
Alexander answered, "You were sleeping soundly. Why would I wake you? You were very tired. Go back to sleep for a while. I'll call you when breakfast is ready. Don't worry about Sunny; he's being good. I've already fed him and changed his diaper."
Ava held Sunny in her arms.
"Alexander, does that mean you didn't sleep all night?"
"I'm fine. I dozed off for a bit. Don't worry about me."
"Alexander, how about this: you go sleep for a while, and I'll make breakfast. I'll wake you when it's ready. It's still early; you can sleep for an hour."
"No need, I'm halfway through making breakfast." With that, Alexander returned to the kitchen.
Ava wanted to stop him, but he closed the kitchen door behind him.
Ava helplessly carried Sunny back to the room.
"Sunny, what's going on with you? Are you trying to cling to Alexander?"
Sunny giggled, his eyes bright and shining.
Ava smiled helplessly.
This was her own son; what could she do?
She placed Sunny in the cradle. There were some toys hanging above it. Ava gently waved the little toys, and they swayed above Sunny, making him laugh happily.
"Sunny, stay here for a while. I'm going to freshen up."
With that, Ava went to the bathroom.
About ten minutes later, she came out and saw Sunny quietly lying in the cradle. She then went to Bishop's room.
Bishop was still asleep. She carefully touched his forehead and felt that his fever had gone down. She breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, Ava enthusiastically went to the kitchen and saw Alexander busy. She walked up and asked, "Do you need any help?"
"No, it's almost done. Just wait a bit; it'll be ready soon."
Ava scratched her forehead, feeling a bit conflicted.
"Alexander, I said those things to you last night, and now you're still here making breakfast. Aren't you angry at all? You should stay away from me and ignore me."
Alexander continued making breakfast.
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Ava asked from behind him.
"You said I should ignore you. So now I'm being silent."
Ava sighed helplessly and said nothing more, turning to leave.
By a little after seven, breakfast was ready, and the delicious aroma filled the air.
Ava was just about to set aside some breakfast for Bishop.
When Bishop opened the door and stumbled out.
