Chapter 491 Do You Love Me?

William asked eagerly, "Did I propose to you? Can you describe how romantic the scene was at that time?"

Ava smiled and said, "Yes, it was very romantic."

It seemed like William had truly forgotten.

"That's good then, Ava. Since you married me, it proves that you have entrusted everything to me and that you love me deeply, right?"
His thumb gently caressed the back of Ava's hand, each gesture brimming with affection.
Ava suddenly felt nervous. The situation was getting out of control. William had lost some of his memories, leading him to believe that they got married because they were in love.

"What's wrong?" Seeing Ava lost in thought, William felt uneasy. "Did I say something wrong? Do you not love me?"

William gradually turned panicked. "Ava, tell me the truth. What's going on?"

William suddenly let out a muffled groan, clutching his head, tilting his body sideways in apparent agony.

"William, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Do you have a headache?" Ava asked anxiously.

The medical monitor suddenly sounded.

Ava saw the numbers on the screen turn red and flash continuously. She quickly turned and shouted, "Doctor!"

Soon, the doctor rushed in to provide emergency care for William!

Ava could only leave the hospital room, anxiously waiting outside.

After a few minutes, the doctor came out.

"Doctor, how is he? Is he okay?" Ava couldn't bear for William to have another issue.

Everyone gathered around.

The doctor said, "He just had a brain surgery two days ago and just woke up. His emotions cannot fluctuate too much. We stabilized him just now. There's no major issue, but it's best not to stress him further. Given his current physical condition, his brain could be easily affected."

Ava nodded. "I understand."

William must have sensed something when she was lost in thought, leading to his emotional outburst.

The doctor injected William with a sedative, causing him to fall asleep again.

Recognizing that William needed her, Ava consulted with William's family and decided to stay at the hospital to provide care.

Hence William no longer recognized his parents and sister, their presence held little significance and could easily provoke him.

Therefore, they had no choice but to leave the hospital. Before departing, they urged Ava to call them promptly if there was anything.
After everyone had departed, Ava returned to the ward, sitting silently on the sofa, accompanying William.

"Uncle, it’s good that William woke up. We are all happy, but what about the situation between him and Ava?" Vicky looked worried and continued, "He just had surgery. The doctor said he can't handle stress. He only remembers Ava now and truly sees her as his wife. He forgot about their fake marriage. If he finds out the truth, it will definitely be a shock, not to mention the fact that they are cousins."

Vicky felt more and more conflicted, unsure of what to do.

Brandon sighed. "Yes, this situation is getting more and more complicated. The fact that they are cousins cannot be revealed for now. Let's not rush things and prioritize his health."

Vicky nodded. "That's all we can do for now. Let's wait until he recovers. By the way, Uncle, have we found out who harmed him?"
