Chapter 820 Lost Contact

In no time, Ava was nine months pregnant.

While abroad, Ava studied whenever she had free time.

She often went for walks too.

No matter where she went, William was always with her.

William had treatments once a week.

At first, Ava went with him, but as her belly grew, it became inconvenient, so she stayed at the villa.

After three months of treatment, William showed some improvement.

He could remember his parents and sister but still couldn't recall how he met Ava.

Ava hadn't contacted the Mitchell family for a while.

Mia stopped talking to her over two months ago after learning about Ava's kidnapping.

The last time Mia called was two months ago.

"Mom, is something wrong with Grandma?"

Every time Mia called, Ava got nervous, worried about Scarlett.

Mia said, "Don't worry, Scarlett's fine."

"Ava, let's not keep in touch anymore," Mia said.

"What?" Ava's heart sank. "Did something happen?"

Mia said, "When you were kidnapped, Alexander risked his life to save you, but you chose William. I can't stay in touch after how you treated my son."

Ava was silent for a while, then said sadly, "I'm sorry."

Mia added, "You don't need to apologize to me or Alexander. It's all in the past. I know it was a tough choice for you, but I can't face you calmly now. Let's not stay in touch. If anything happens to Scarlett, I'll let you know. If you don't hear from me, she's fine."

Ava lowered her head in pain. "Mom, how is Alexander doing?"

"He..." Mia paused, "He's doing well and has been in contact with a girl."

Ava was surprised. "A girl?"

"You don't need to know," Mia said coldly. "You two are no longer related. You're William's wife now."

After that, Ava and Mia hadn't been in contact.

Ava kept thinking about what Mia said.

Alexander was seeing someone new.

She thought, 'Did he move on so quickly?'

A sudden sadness filled Ava's heart.

She and Alexander were divorced; it was over. It was good he found someone new, and she should be happy for him.

But she couldn't help feeling a tightness in her chest.

Suddenly, Ava felt a sharp pain in her belly.

William came into Ava's room with some food.

He saw Ava frowning and sweating.

He put the soup aside and rushed over, "Ava, what's wrong?"

He lifted the quilt and saw the sheets were wet.

Her water had broken.

"William, I'm having the baby." Ava grabbed William's arm.

There were still two weeks until her due date.

But now it looked like the baby was coming early.

William felt nervous. "Ava, I'll take you to the hospital right away."

He picked Ava up and rushed out of the room.
