Chapter 579 Because of Love

Seeing as things had come to this point, Ava could only admit. She nodded. "Yes, I'm sorry, William. This child is not yours, so I didn't tell you about the child."

She really didn't want to deceive William.

This was not his child. If she lied to him, it would be unfair to William, just as it was unfair to the child in her belly, so she couldn't do it.

William was shocked. "Not my child? Whose child is it, then? What happened between us? Why are you pregnant with another man's child? We are married."
"No." William suddenly felt a headache. He raised his hand to cover his head and stepped back. "How could this happen? Did you betray me? Why are you pregnant with someone else's child? You can't do this, Ava. How could you betray me? We are legally married. How could you?"

William's voice became more and more agitated, accompanied by intense pain. He fell to the ground.

"William!" Ava rushed up in worry, holding his arms and trying to pull him up. "William, don't do this."

William's emotions were particularly agitated. He firmly grasped Ava's shoulders. "Ava, tell me the truth. Those memories I recalled, you cried in my arms, accusing me of deceiving you. Did I really do something to betray you? Just because I treated you badly? Even if I did something wrong, how could you treat me like this? You're pregnant with another man's child. Tell me, is it true?"

"William, it's not what you think. Can you get up first? Can you listen to me first?" Ava replied.

"Tell me now!" William's strength grew stronger. "Tell me quickly, why are you pregnant with another man's child? What did I do wrong? Why would you do this?"

William almost roared!

Ava felt a pain in her shoulders. "William, you're hurting me! Let me go!"

Hearing Ava cry out in pain, William quickly let go of her, looking panicked. "I'm sorry, Ava, I didn't mean to. I'm sorry."

William lowered his head in shame. "I'm sorry. It's all my fault. What did I do wrong?"

"The child in my belly is from my ex-husband," Ava finally said, "William, can you calm down and listen to me finish? Can we sit down and talk properly?"

She was worried that William's emotions were too intense and would affect his health.

Comforted by Ava, William got up, supported by her, and sat on the bed. Ava covered him with a blanket. "William, how do you feel? Do you have a headache?"

William was sweating profusely. "Ava, please tell me, please tell me quickly. Why did you say it's your ex-husband's child? Did you get divorced before?"

Ava nodded. "Yes, I married you after divorcing my husband. I'm pregnant with his child. You also know about this; it's just that my ex-husband doesn't know about it."

William fell silent for a moment, then asked, "How long had you been divorced from your ex-husband before we got married?"

Ava sighed softly. "Not long, just over a month."

The more William listened, the more he sensed foreboding. "So, between us, did we get married because of love?"
