Chapter 51 Full of Lies

"I'm perfectly sober!" Alexander's expression was particularly gloomy, "Everything you said and did, I remember clearly! Did you dislike that bracelet that much? Even if you didn't like it, there was no need to smash it in front of me! Did I do something wrong by giving you a gift?"
Alexander had been holding back his anger for a long time. Many things were bothering him, so he kept drinking during dinner since he couldn't vent at that time; he had to hold it in until they got home, then bring up these issues one by one, to get clear answers.
Once he mentioned the bracelet, Ava couldn't help but laugh, but it was full of sarcasm, "Yes, you carefully selected that bracelet yourself. If Isabella tells you to give me a diamond bracelet, you give me a diamond bracelet. If she tells you to give me a ring, would you do it without hesitation too?"
"What are you talking about?" Alexander frowned.
"You know what I'm talking about! You need to ask another woman about a gift for your wife. Alexander, you're really something; you’re doing your best to keep both sides happy, right?!"
Ava felt nauseous even thinking about it.
This was the man she had loved for ten years, and he turned out to be like this.
Even if he didn't put his heart into it, buying her a gift casually would be better than asking another woman’s opinion.
"What do you mean I asked another woman? Explain yourself!"
"Didn't you ask Isabella? Didn't Isabella tell you that a diamond bracelet would be a good gift?"
Since he wanted to hear it, she would make it clear.
Alexander suddenly understood something.
His eyes flashed with a moment of confusion, but they quickly became cold again, "So you smashed it?"
"I didn't do it on purpose." Ava told the truth, "It slipped from my hand and fell on the ground."
She was planning to listen to her father-in-law's advice and donate the bracelet. No matter what, the bracelet was valuable, and she didn't need to waste it on purpose.
"If you didn't take it off, how could it fall on the ground? You did it on purpose! You even threw it into the trash can in front of me. Is this how you treat the things I give you?"
Even if the bracelet was broken accidentally, she did throw it into the trash can on purpose.
"What else could I do? Should I always wear the diamond bracelet you gave me and watch you and Isabella being lovey-dovey? Alexander, what's the point? We're going to get a divorce; what are you trying to achieve by saying these things and doing these things now? Don't you understand that the bracelet represents the breakdown of our relationship!"
He had torn apart their relationship. From the moment he proposed divorce, he destroyed it with his own hands.
"We've known each other for ten years, and in your heart, our relationship is like a broken bracelet? Ava, so this is how you think!" Alexander almost roared.
"What else do you want me to think? This is the truth!"
"Ava, I really misjudged you!" Alexander's grip on her shoulder tightened, "In front of Grandma, you act like a good girl, but behind her back, you're full of lies!"
"You're saying I'm full of lies?" Ava was furious, "The one who's full of lies is clearly you! When you hid Isabella abroad, did you tell me anything? When you spent two months with her on a business trip, did you tell me? I always thought Isabella had left you and gone abroad, and you never corrected me, letting me foolishly hold onto this naive idea. Meanwhile, you're sneaking around with her. The one who's full of lies is you; you're the one who's pretending in front of Grandma, but acting differently behind her back!"
