Alexander sighed softly and then said, "Take good care of your injuries. I'll send someone to find your ex-boyfriend. Once we find him, I'll use my connections to make sure he spends a few more years in prison. I'm sure he's committed plenty of crimes."
"Thank you. If you can really find him and put him in prison, that would be great. But what should I do before you find him? He could come after me at any time. He said he wouldn't let me go and would definitely kill me. He seems like he's gone mad."
Alexander said, "Before we find him, I'll have someone protect you. You don't need to worry."
"Alexander, can I..."

Madison curled up into a ball, trembling as she cried.
Alexander looked at her calmly. After a long while, he spoke softly, "If it will make you feel safer, then let's do that. I'll find him as soon as possible. You focus on recovering. I need to go to the office now."
With that, Alexander turned and left.
He seemed to have lost his soul.
He didn't want to think anymore.
A few days later, Madison was discharged from the hospital and smoothly moved into Alexander's place.
The servants arranged a room for Madison, right across from Alexander's.
In the evening, when Alexander came home, Madison immediately greeted him, "Alexander, you're back."
The bruises on Madison's face hadn't completely faded. When she saw him, she beamed like a wife waiting for her husband to come home, her eyes full of light.
Seeing Madison there, Alexander was initially taken aback. Then he remembered and responded softly, "If you need anything, just tell the butler."
"I know. Don't worry, I won't stay here for long. Once we find that bad man and he's in prison, I'll move out immediately."
"I'm still looking for him," Alexander said. "He's pretty good at hiding."
Alexander had thought it would be easy to find him, but after several days, there was still no sign of him. He had no idea where the guy had gone.
"He's not a good person. He's made a lot of enemies and is always hiding. He's indeed hard to find." Madison said angrily, "I was blind at the time. I'll never be that stupid again."
"I'll have someone find him as soon as possible. You don't need to think too much about it for now. Let's go inside." Alexander walked into the villa first.
Madison's arrival brought a bit of comfort to Alexander.
When he came home, the house was usually cold and empty. The servants weren't his family. When it came down to it, he was the only one there, with no one to talk to.
His parents were divorced, his grandmother had passed away, and his wife had left him.
His life had turned out like this.
When he came home just now and Madison greeted him, Alexander had an illusion, as if someone was caring waiting for him at home.
But rationally, he knew Madison couldn't be that caring a person. Although his grandmother's death had no evidence pointing to Madison, it was confirmed that Emily did it, as Emily had confessed.
Emily was Madison's cousin. Thinking about this, Alexander couldn't treat Madison the same way he used to. There was a barrier in his heart.
