Chapter 432 Having Dinner Together

William and Ava arrived at the marriage bureau, where Dalton's assistant was already waiting. Everything went smoothly, and they obtained their marriage license.

Ava stared at the marriage certificate in her hand, her heart pounding. Suddenly, she felt immense pressure. Even though she understood their sham marriage was solely for William, upon glimpsing at the marriage certificate, Ava couldn't help but involuntarily recollect the moment when she and Alexander exchanged vows and signed their own marriage documents years ago.

Although it had happened just over a year ago, it felt like many years had passed.

As they walked out of the marriage bureau, the assistant spoke up, "William, Ava, now that you have your marriage certificate, MR. Dalton hope you to go home immediately and have dinner together."

William nodded. "Alright, I'll take Ava home."

The assistant then left because he finished his task. He witnessed them legitimately getting married instead of deceiving anyone.

William and Ava looked at each other, holding the marriage certificate.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward. Ava put the marriage certificate back in her bag.

To ease William's burden, Ava smiled and said, "The problem is solved, right? You don't have to worry about a business marriage anymore."

"But this is unfair to you," William said guiltily.

Ava shook her head. "There's nothing unfair about it. I don't feel burdened at all. Don't worry. You are free after marriage. Just make sure your family doesn't find out about anything you do."

William nodded.

"Alright, let's go. Let's go back to have dinner with your family, and play our parts to the fullest."

They got into the car and headed to the Bennett Family.

Around the dining table were only members of the Bennett Family, no one else.

Hailey had always been quiet. She didn't say much last night. Even though Dalton tried to engage her in conversation, he ended up doing most of the talking. So was today. Hailey remained silent as if she had no connection to the situation.

Ava felt a bit uneasy. The silence was too pronounced, and it seemed like everyone had something on their minds.

"Ava, it is so delicious," Vicky said, offering Ava a piece of Buffalo Wings.

Dalton interjected, "She's your elder brother’s wife. You should know."

His tone wasn't harsh; it seemed like he was quite pleased that William had gotten married.

Vicky smiled. "Okay."

Vicky didn't mind that because she had wanted Ava to be her sister-in-law for a while
Ava smiled and nodded..

"What are your plans for the wedding?" Dalton inquired.

William replied, "Since Ava and I already got marriage certificate, there's no rush for the wedding. We need to pick the perfect date."

Dalton remarked, "There's no rush, indeed. You should take her shopping and buy her some clothes, jewelry, and such."

William nodded. "I understand. I'll get something for Ava."

Putting down his utensils, Dalton added, "We'll wait until your mom and I return before planning the wedding."

Dalton's words puzzled William. "Where are you going?"

Dalton explained, "Your mom and I had discussed going on a vacation, and we were originally planning to wait until after you and Samantha got married. Unexpectedly, you and Ava got married. Now, your mom and I can take care of our matters."

"Mom, Dad, where are you going on vacation?" Vicky asked curiously.
