Chapter 455 Always with You

As Ava left the office, a figure ran towards her.

"Ava."

Upon receiving Ava's call, Vicky hurried over with great haste.

Upon her arrival, she was met with Ava's tear-streaked visage.

"Vicky." Ava hugged her tightly.

Ava told Vicky what had happened.

They immediately went to the ward to see William.

"William, can you hear me? Wake up, okay? It's all my fault. I didn't try hard enough to look for you," Vicky said.

Previously, she still believed that nothing would go wrong with William. Ava worried excessively. She had never foreseen such an outcome.

If she had earnestly searched for William, inquired around, perhaps she could have located his whereabouts, preventing the unfortunate event.

Ava gently patted Vicky's back. "Vicky, this is not your fault. Have you been able to get in touch with your parents?"

While at the hospital, upon recognizing William, Ava promptly contacted Vicky and his parents. However, she only managed to reach Vicky and couldn’t establish contact with William's parents as their phones were unreachable.

The staff in the hospital, knowing she was William's wife, immediately took her to the office. Ava had thought it was about treatment, only to be told about organ transplantation.

After she came out, she only saw Vicky.

Vicky said, "My parents went on a trip and left suddenly yesterday. When I called them, they were already on the plane, and I can't reach them now. Their phones have been unreachable."

"Why did they suddenly go on a trip?" Ava couldn't understand.

"I am not sure either. It seems they have gone to a place that is unreachable. They mentioned that any matters during this time should be managed by William, and not to disturb them."
Ava was aware of this situation, yet she hadn't anticipated that his parents would leave so abruptly.

She thought they would leave after some time.

"Ava, William still has a chance to wake up, right?"

Ava nodded. "He definitely has a chance to wake up. I won't let him die, absolutely not."

Ava wiped the tears from her face.

If that incident hadn't happened yesterday, would William have been okay?

She said those words to protect William and prevent conflict between William and Alexander. However, in the end, William still got hurt.

Had she not known William, he would have been safe.

'William, you must persevere. I will be there for you, always by your side, urging him to hold on,' She fell lost in thought.

"Ava!"

A voice rang outside the hospital room.

Ava turned and saw Alexander standing there.

She suddenly had a foreboding feeling.

Alexander walked directly into the hospital room, "How come it's you? Are you his family?"

Alexander learned from the dean that the relatives of the injured party had been located, identified as Ava, a revelation that immediately struck him as amiss.

Alexander intended to personally speak with the family, yet the dean insisted that it would be more appropriate for a physician to handle such matters.

According to protocol, the families of the donor and the recipient were not permitted to meet, in order to prevent potential disputes.

Accepting this arrangement without hesitation, Alexander pondered that with the patient's imminent passing, there was little reason for the family to persevere.

However, to his surprise, the physician informed him that the emotions of the injured party's relatives were highly agitated, unwilling to sign the consent form.
