"You!" Mandy's eyes were almost bulging out in anger, "Fine, I'll remember you!"
"That's right, remember it well, so you won't do something stupid next time. I'll count to three, if you don't give Sunny back to her, I'll blow your brains out!"
"Three..."
"Mom, give the child back to her, hurry up," Hailey pleaded.
"Two..."
Mandy was furious, but her life was more important now. This man seemed capable of anything.
As Bishop reached the last number, Mandy handed Sunny over.
Ava immediately rushed forward, grabbed Sunny back, and held her tightly, comforting her, "Sunny, don't be afraid, mommy's here."
Outside, the sound of police sirens could be heard.
The restaurant staff had called the police after hearing the commotion in the private room.
"You guys should leave quickly," Hailey said, "I'll explain to the police."
Mandy slapped Hailey hard, "Your mother had a gun to her head, and you're helping outsiders!"
Hailey covered her burning face, "Mom, you started this. Can we just resolve this simply? I'm begging you!"
Ava didn't bother talking to them. She handed Sunny to Bishop, then picked up the bag from the floor, stuffing everything that had fallen out back into it.
Mandy's two bodyguards were knocked to the ground by Bishop and couldn't even get up.
Mandy angrily kicked one of them, "Useless, completely useless!"
Suddenly, Mandy noticed a bracelet on the floor.
Instantly, a look of shock flashed in her eyes.
Just as Mandy was about to bend down to pick up the bracelet, Ava ran over, grabbed it, and stuffed it into her bag.
Mandy suddenly grabbed Ava's wrist, "Wait a minute."
Ava looked up, "What do you want?"
"Let go!" Bishop threatened, holding Sunny in one arm and a gun in the other.
Hailey quickly stood in front of Mandy, "Everyone calm down, the police are coming, you should leave."
Ava forcefully shook off Mandy's hand, stuffed the bracelet into her bag, and left with Bishop.
Mandy wanted to chase after them, but Hailey stopped her, "Mom, please don't do this."
"Get out of my way, I have something to ask her." Mandy pushed Hailey aside forcefully.
At that moment, a phone rang.
Mandy took out her phone and answered, "Hello."
Her voice was somewhat harsh.
The person on the other end said something, and Mandy's face turned to shock. Gradually, her eyes focused in the direction Ava and Bishop had left.
"What color were the clothes of that couple, do you remember?"
The person answered, "One was wearing black, the other light blue, and they were holding a child."
At that moment, several police officers arrived at the private room, "What happened here?"
The room was a mess, with two men lying on the floor.
"Ms. Powell." The police recognized her and quickly approached to inquire, "Are you alright? We received a report of a disturbance here."
Mandy was not someone they could afford to offend. One call from her, and even their chief would come running.
"It was all a misunderstanding," Hailey quickly explained, "This matter..."
"Shut up," Mandy turned and scolded Hailey.
Hailey was startled and looked at Mandy with a pleading expression, "Mom."
"Ms. Powell, please tell us what happened, and we'll handle it."
Mandy suddenly seemed unsteady and took a step back.
Hailey quickly supported her, "Mom, what's wrong?"
Mandy shook off Hailey and then told the police, "These two bodyguards of mine got into a fight over a disagreement, causing this mess. Sorry to trouble you, but I'll handle it. You can go back."
