Alexander pondered for a long time before finally speaking, "Have you taken Ava for a medical check-up?"
He was really worried. If William could take her for a check-up, he would be at ease.

Alexander smirked. "William, if it weren't for Ava's sake, I would have caused you trouble long ago. The only reason you've been safe until now is because she's protecting you."
William stood up, straightened his suit, and walked to the window, looking at the bustling scene outside. He sneered. "So, you're saying that the attack I survived, where I almost died, was all orchestrated by you."
Hearing William's blatant accusation, Alexander slammed the table and stood up. "Do you have any evidence? Otherwise, don't slander me without proof."
"So, you're innocent?" William snorted. "If that's the case, why are you so agitated then? Only the guilty get defensive."
Alexander strode over to William, grabbed his shoulder, and spun him around. "Are you trying to provoke me?"
"So, you're provoked?" William said darkly, "Alexander, even though I don't remember many things, including those of you, I still think you're really pathetic."
Alexander narrowed his eyes slightly, a fierce glint in them. "William, do you know? Ava has always begged me not to harm you."
He took out his phone and showed William the messages Ava had sent. "Do you see this? She asked me not to bully you. In her heart, I'm stronger than you. I can bully you at will. The reason I haven't done anything is that I don't stoop to bullying the weak. For her, I won't bully the weak."
The messages on Alexander's phone were was like a thorn stabbing William's eyes and heart.
William thought, 'Is this really what Ava feels? Am I weaker than Alexander?'
Ava plea to her ex-husband not to bully her current husband humiliated William deeply. He felt a strong sense of humiliation, his male pride trampled upon.
William pretended to be indifferent. "Just a random text, and you say it's from her. Do you think I'll believe that? You underestimate me."
"You don't have to believe it." Alexander pocketed his phone. "But you can ask her. However, if you do, your relationship will suffer. I didn't want to show you this message, and Ava didn't want you to know either. But your arrogance is insufferable. If I don't tell you the truth, you'll really think you're the winner.
