Chapter 1295 The Agreement

"I know my own identity," Bishop said. "I will do my best to protect her. If one day I threaten her life, I will end my own."

Alexander frowned, "You don't have to go that far. If you really do that, Ava will definitely be in pain."

"In pain? How long will she be in pain?" Bishop didn't know if Ava still had feelings for Alexander. Could she really let go of someone she had loved for so long?

"Ava will be in pain," Alexander looked at Bishop and sighed softly, "because Ava likes you."

Bishop was a bit stunned, "What did you say?"

"Don't you know? The way Ava looks at you is different from how she looks at other men, Bishop. She likes you, not just as a friend, but as a man."

Alexander was his rival in love. Hearing this from Alexander's mouth made Bishop happy.

Seeing Alexander's calm expression, Bishop asked, "Doesn't it make you sad to say that? I know you love Ava very much."

"I love Ava. What good does it do to be sad? I can't control her heart. Otherwise, she would have come back to me long ago. I've done many foolish things, pushing her away time and again. I don't blame anyone else."

Alexander closed his eyes, his heart aching, "If Ava really likes you, there's nothing I can do. I don't want to deceive myself anymore."

"Alexander, if Ava is rescued, will you continue to try to win her back and pursue her?"

Alexander smiled bitterly, "I would like to, but would she be willing? And there's you as an obstacle."

"You are really contradictory," Bishop smiled and said, "But you're not a bad person. If Ava really comes back to you, as long as you treat her well, I won't compete with you."

"Won't compete with me?" Alexander seemed to hear a joke, "Are you kidding me?"

"I'm not kidding. If Ava truly loves you, I won't be like William, trying every way to get her. But if she loves me, I won't let go either."

"Alexander," Bishop stepped forward and continued, "Let's make a deal. If we rescue Ava and she clearly chooses between us, neither of us will bother her anymore."

Alexander silently looked at Bishop for a long time, then finally extended his hand, "No problem."

Bishop also extended his hand.

The two men shook hands, making a real agreement.

"Now, let's work together to rescue Ava," Alexander said. "Compared to William, I trust you more. Don't let me down."

Bishop said, "That's what I want to tell you too. Compared to William, I trust you more, so don't let me down. If Ava chooses you in the future, don't mess around with other women, or I won't let you off."

"I won't," Alexander said firmly. "Even if Ava doesn't choose me, I won't find another woman in this lifetime."

He had made too many mistakes because of women, so he couldn't make any more.

If these words came from another man, Bishop would think he was just pretending.

How could a man endure loneliness?

But at this moment, hearing Alexander say this, Bishop inexplicably felt a bit more trust.

Just then, a bodyguard came to Alexander's side and whispered something in his ear.

Alexander's face showed a look of surprise, and he frowned.

"Let's go."
